Unicorns

Prancing, dancing creatures—who are they?
Running, snorting, beings—what are they?
Are they light? Darkness?
They are all that is
And all that has been
And all that will be.
The creatures of dreams and nightmares
They swirl through everything.
The wind, when it has that feeling
The sun, when it is warm on your back,
Stars, as they gaze benevolently down upon your soul.
They are the unicorns,
And they are
Everything—
You, me, all of us.
If we don’t believe in them,
Who will?
