A Valentine's Lament
A poem about a valentine left unsigned.

Something is wrong;
I feel so sad.
Where is the love song
that we once had?

Is it gone for good,
or is it buried somewhere
under all those burdens
that you might bear?

Could it be, sweetheart
that you aren't aware
that we're far apart?
Or is it you don't care?

Gone is the time
when you and I dined.
Like the Valentine card
that you left unsigned;

the verses are cold,
the meaning turned hard,
the truth being told~
we dine in the dark.
