Searching For Happy Thoughts

I am determined to be happy. I am changing my mental thinking. I am confident that I can be in control of my life and that I am destined to be happy and have the things I want. I realize that I am the only one who can make my dreams come true. I will independently take charge of my thoughts and work on making my dreams come true. This has been my mentality for the last few months, I'm not exactly sure what my 'aha' moment was, but I do thank God that I had one!

I have really let go of many negative thoughts and regrets the last few months. I continue to work on goals, the big ones and little ones. Going to school can be a drain but is a long term goal that I am determined to achieve. My main short-term goal is the 'happy thoughts.' I never realized how very hard it is to have a positive mentality. To stop in mid-negative thought and remind myself that I AM a good person, a good mother, a good nurse and that I am a loyal friend.

As an introvert, for the most part, I do not know how I have raised my children to become such opposites of myself. By the grace of God, my beautiful children are smart, social, popular and very outgoing. With raising my children, I realize, that at least in this part of my life, I have always been strong. I definitely have my Mom and Dad to thank for that, what they instilled in me passed straight through to my own children.

I have been blessed with a few good friends. Ones that stability and encouragement in my life and my actions have helped me to become a better person.

I'm searching for happy thoughts. Sounds simple enough but it is one of those easier said than done things. As I search and put the happy in for the negative, I am beginning to see that it is like a waterfall cascading more positive thoughts. I am happier today than I have been in three years. I hope to continue to grow and learn on a daily basis.
