Lonely Memories
Missing Friends who have moved, or passed away...

Inside my heart a book there lies
Of things I've seen in other's eyes-
Dozens of shards of broken dreams
Piercing at times hearts' tattered seams.

Agony, again pain is new...
Bleeds on and rips what joy has sewn.
Sweet comfort comes to wash with tears
The pain that seeps through countless fears.

Can someone stop the rushing thoughts
Of those I've missed at such a cost?
When times alone I daily spend
Wishing for those bosom friends?

Strength-somewhere deep within me lies
Prithee, come forth and dry my eyes...
So I may find again the bliss
Of sharing love with those I've missed.
