AM I A VAGABOND?
Yes, I’ve run away from home. Am I a vagabond? No, since I have not severed Any existing bond. No bond is there between a Daughter and step-mother, Who eyes the step-daughter with Vile designs sinister? Have I committed a sin That I have run away, When even my own father Did not grant me a say? O my Father in heaven, I’m now at your mercy. Not even a ray of hope, In this world I can see. • Written in abcb 7-6-7-6 format M C Gupta 10 March 2007
