Question everyone asks
a poem about dreams

I’m sick of this world
And all the people here
Having their minds set on one thing
Will I
Get that car,
Become famous,
Make the team,
Get in the newspaper,
Get asked out,
Get the job,
Get into a car crash

All those questions have been asked
But the only one who can answer it is
You
So got out there and
Become famous
Make the team
Get in the newspaper
Try to get the job
Save the money to buy the car
And drive safe so you don’t get into a car crash
Make sure you get asked out

You are the only one
Who can make your life go somewhere
So stop thinking others will change it for you
Because I hate to tell you this
But you are the only one who can change it
And if you don’t like were your life is
The only one to blame is you
No one did this to you
So stop pointing the figure at everyone else
And realize it was you
That did this to you
Not anyone else
