Requiem
Ch.3 making new friends

I made this as an anime idea so I own it. -__-
stuff in parenthesis are actions and Xinn is me the narrator/author.


(It was almost 6:00 A.M. when Asura got out of bed and went down sitars.)

Asura: I wonder what I'm supposed to do?(he goes to the kitchen and looks in the refrigerator)
Let's see what's for breakfast.(he searches the back of the fridge.)

(Misaki comes in already dressed and sits at the table looking at the clock, fidgeting with her fingers.)

Misaki:(to herself) Today is my first day of high school and I have to show Asura around? I want to make a good impression on everyone, but now I have the responsibility to look over Asura. Oh whatever Deity is watching me please help me put.(claps hand together)

Asura: what do you keep babbling about?(sits down eating some left overs)

Misaki: (in upset tone) Well, I'm just going through a lot okay? I just have some mixed emotions about today.

Asura:(pause) This food taste like crap.

Misaki: (looks at him, eyes are blazing) Why should I care, can't you see, I have my own problems?

Asura: If you care so much about this then maybe you should try coming up with a game plan.

Misaki: what do you mean by that?

Asura: Well, You could come up with some scenarios that will help you out in case something comes up, my sensei taught me this. It's quite easy. (Asura pulls out a chart out of thin air)

Misaki: where did that come from?

Asura: who cares? Okay so you want to make friends well, first you need to pick out someone.( grabs out a pointer and starts pointing at pictures of stick figures) Then you need eye contact.(points to a picture of two stick figures looking at each other.) Then...

Misaki: wait where did these pictures come from?

Asura:(Slaps her on the hand with pointer) No talking during my lecture.(continues) Then you must begin a conversation with selected individual. Best way to do this is by asking their name or interests. Then after all this you must go in for the kill, you must find a way to keep that person interested in you.

Misaki: I think your going over board with this, maybe you're the one who needs to a lecture.

Asura: don't question my methods, after all I'm much more experienced when it comes to battle plans.

Misaki: How's that? Did your sensei teach you how to make friends too?

Asura: No, but he did train me to kill.

Misaki:(uneasy look) That sounds scary, what did he used to do before he took you in?

Asura: He said he worked for the military, but he quit a while before I was born.

Misaki: well that explains it. (sweat drop) So why don't you get dressed we have to go in a while.

Asura: Fine, but remember what I said. (walks out of kitchen)


(after a long walk to school, the two finally arrive at the high school. There are almost a limitless supply of student are walking around.)

Misaki: well, that's a lot of new friends huh?

Asura: No, they're target practice, now is the time to put everything I taught you to good use.(shoves her forward) Good luck!

Misaki: Your freaking kidding me? I'll give it a try. (runs off to talk to random students)

Asura: watches from afar as Misaki is rejected time after time, until the bell rings.) Well, I guess I should get going. (starts walking to class as he reads his schedule)

Misaki: (catches up with him) Your advice sucks ass.

Asura: Well, part of winning battles is strategy, so you may need a new approach. We'll try something after 1st and 2nd period.

( they make it to 1st period class and find their seats.)

Asura: so which class is this anyway?

Misaki: It's biology, do you know anything about it?

Asura: Well, I've heard of it but , I guess I'm still new to it.

Misaki: Do you even have the right knowledge to be in this class, let alone this grade?

Asura: Sure my sensei, taught me the basics for anyone my age, I learned tons of stuff, most of it battle related but, the basics in general.

Misaki: Whatever, just be sure to not freak anyone out with your trauma induced stories.

Asura: I'm not making any promises.
(after 1st and 2nd period, Asura and Misaki make their way to their homeroom.)

Asura: okay, now we have to find a way to help you make friends. (looks around, until he find a suitable “target”.) How about her?

Misaki: I don't think so. (she looks at the girl and hesitates at the thought of them being friends.)

(the girl was wearing a silver necklace, had black finger nails and black lipstick.)

Asura: why not? She seems like a decent subject.

Misaki: She's clearly not the person who would be interested in being friends with someone like me, and why do you keep calling them subjects and target? She's a person not a thing. Besides if you're so sure your “strategy” works the try it out on someone here yourself?

Asura: fine, then I will. (he looks around and notices someone talking with the teacher.) I'll ask him.

( the boy, wore glasses that covered his eyes, almost as if he himself couldn't see through them. He had dark red hair, and his figure looked somewhat scrawny.)

Asura: (walks up to boy) Hello, my name is Saotome Asura, my interests are swords, military strategy, and avenging the death of both my mother and sensei.

Misaki: (Sweat drop) He's really straight forward.

( a long awkward silence fills the almost empty room.)

Boy: Okay?.... (in energetic tone) My name is Izuma Teiichi , my interests included anime, video games and reading manga. I was born here in Kyoto and I mostly spend my time alone in my room reading. Nice to meet you Asura-san.( a smile comes across his face.)

Asura: will you be my friend?

Teiichi:(shock) You want me to be your friend?( teary eyed) Of course I will.

Asura: Then It is settled you and me are best friends forever.(walks away and turns to Misaki.) That wasn't too hard was it.

Misaki: It actually worked? (eye twitches)

(Teiichi walks over to them.)

Teiichi: So how you doing?

Misaki: uh? Hi, my name is Sohryu Misaki. (she waves her hand)

Teiichi: Hello, I'm the younger brother of Rika sensei, But I just call her sis.

Asura: you mean that teacher over there is your sister?
Teiichi: Yup, she and me are relater by blood and everything else you need in order to be siblings.

Misaki: so does that mean you're not in this class?

Teiichi: yes, I'm a second year student here, so i visit her whenever I have time. Speaking of which I have to go, It was nice meeting you guys.

Asura: Wait, are you doing anything after school?

Teiichi: Well, I have to help out in the library, but other than that no. Why?

Asura: I just thought we should hang out some more, you know being BFFs and all.

Teiichi: that would be great, I'll see ya later then. (smiles than walks away.)

(the bell ring and then the class starts)

Rika: Well hello everyone I'm your homeroom teacher, Rika Izuma, but you can just call me Rika for the time being. I' ll teach you guys the basics of English literature.

Asura: English? We have to learn the literature of another language?

Misaki: sure but it's only the basics.

Asura: Okay then, it should be no problem at all then, I'm good with the basics.

(3rd and 4th period are over and lunch begins.)

Asura: So where are we supposed to eat at?

Misaki: I don't know maybe under some trees or on the roof.

Asura: I think I saw someone already up there.

Misaki: in that case we'll just eat down here.


(Meanwhile on the roof, the girl from the 3rd period class is eating lunch, when a figure from the shadows appears)

Shadowy figure: you called for me sis?

Girl: yes it seems that I found someone who caught my interests, a boy I saw in 3rd period. But there is one problem, he has a friends who I'm afraid may interfere with my plan. I'd like for you to stall him.

Shadowy figure: Stall him? But Mizuki, I doubt father would be pleased by your actions.

Mizuki: Don't worry, I know what I'm doing, after all he is from our most hated rival family.

Shadowy figure: You mean from that family? If that is so I'll gladly help you. Just tell me his name.

Mizuki: no need, I'll take care of this one, just stall his little friend for me.

Shadowy figure: understood my precious sister.(the figure disappears)

Mizuki: now to have some fun. (she says with a smirk.)

( school is over and everyone is getting ready to leave.)

Misaki: Are you sure you'll be fine by yourself here?

Asura: don't worry I'm trained in self-defense, Besides I'm only waiting for Teiichi.

Misaki: Well, okay then, just be careful.(she waves good bye as she leaves.)

( Teiichi finally is done with his work and decides to check his locker for anything. He finds a letter in it and reads it.)

Asura: (enters as Teiichi is reading.) There you are, you done yet?

Teiichi: (startled) Asura-san, I didn't see you there, well something just came up can you please wait here?

Asura: Sure, what is it?

Teiichi oh nothing I just have to go upstairs is all.( smiles and walks away.)

Asura:(looks around then notices the letter,and picks it up.) Is this what Teiichi was hiding?
(reads the letter) Seems to be some kind of love confession or something. Oh well, guess I shouldn't bother with him.

( a shadowy figure appears behind him.)

Asura: I feel as if something is watching me.(looks around but doesn't notice anything.)

( the figure moves more closely.)


Asura: (suddenly turns around with sword unsheathed) I know you're there somewhere so show yourself!

Shadowy figure: It seems my sister had many a reason to worry about you. Very well I'll let you see me since you won't remember any of this once I;m through with you.( appears out of the shadows.)

( the figure looks almost like a human but is made of some unknown substance, like a doll of puppet, but he moved on his own and looked slightly demonic.)

Asura: What the hell are you?
Figure: My name is Hiyama Kaito, and I'm here to make sure you don't interfere with my sister's plans.
As to the answer of your question, you'll have to find out yourself.

Asura: What do you mean by interfere? Why would I interfere with anything that isn't my business?

Kaito: Well, my sister just find you to be a threat is all.

Asura: I am skilled but so far no one knows of my skill yet, how did she find out?

Kaito: My sister has her ways, she too is very skilled in quite a unique way.

Asura: Well, no need to worry I'm just waiting for a friend.

Kaito: no need to wait he won't be here long.

Asura: (narrowing his eyes) What do you mean by that?

Kaito: My sister is keeping him “company for the time being.

Asura: what is she doing to him?

(Kaito begins laughing crazily)

Asura: Answer my question!

Kaito: (stops laughing) Very well, you see, Teiichi comes from a rival family, and my sister plans on killing him.

Asura: In that case, I'll have to ask you to step aside.

Kaito: sorry no can do. (shrugs his shoulders)

Asura: then I guess, I'll have to make you move.( readies his blade)

Kaito:(crosses his arms) Why then, this may be more fun then I expected.

I left it on a cliffhanger sort of ending, I'm starting to get to the action and the plot will follow soon after, so please tell me what you think. ^_^
