Thinking of Nothing
Have you ever asked someone "What are you thinking about?". They reply "Nothing".

Thinking of nothing
is empty contemplation.
Exhausting the subconscious.

Images bang, bang, bang
the door of an empty room.
Echoes sound reflect
light.
Are you blinded?

This place of possibility
drags ad infinitum,
while life itself shouts – WAIT
Can’t keep up, you see
it won’t be defined by anything.

Like betting on a horse
without legs.
But, try it anyway…
tell me what nothing is.
you’ll be embarrassed, broke.

This playground
provides no recreation,
leaving parents wondering.
Why children are laughing?
Hysterically laughing, pointing.

A part of thought
made from nonexistence.
Not forced to conform,
based only in choice,
seen as a blank visage.

So, you think of nothing.
But, something has to give.
