Hope
Rated: ASR | Poetry | Romance/Love | #1255916
hope flutters ever-present in my soul...
Hope flutters ever-present in my soul,
Sparkling bright and true in my heart,
Sliding through my tortured mind,
Filling up everything.

Could it be true,
I wonder still,
My heart jumping
Against my will.

Kind words are a balm to my life,
Smoothing over all the bad places,
Bringing smiles to down-turned lips,
Restoring my soul.

Could it be true,
I wonder now.
My heart aflutter
With here and now.

Sweetness is like the finest “honey,”
Endearments whispering through my mind,
Bringing joy to forgotten corners,
Renewing my heart.

Could it be true,
I wonder no more.
I know it is true,
Deep in my heart’s core.
