Love For A Pet
Upon the floor he lies Not a care in sight He may just stay there Till the early morning light He sometimes goes for a walk Or cuddles in the chair Sometimes in the bed I gently stroke his hair He chases all the birds He digs holes in the dirt He always comes to me When he gets a little hurt His hair is smoky white His eyes are crystal blue He does the funniest things I've ever seen him do At night he comes to me And tells me of his day He is my pet cat And he has so much to say I listen to his purr And he licks my hand A love for a pet isn't so hard If you take time to understand
