Beauty in a Bottle
Society these days and their confined thoughts on what's acceptable and what isn't. Pfft.

Why does beauty have to come in a glass bottle?
Confined to certain peoples thoughts and their judgment.
Stuffed into an hourglass, watching time waste away
While we sit, wait, wish that we were more.
We could change the world these days,
If only were weren’t so completely taken by ourselves.

In my filthy, shaped, bias opinion,
Selfishness is like a horrid drug.
Writhing, growing, reeking inside of us.
Seeking to fill us with resentment and malice.
You’re ill from greed. You’re pale from envy.
Why?

Please...Answer me America.

What are we fighting for? Where do we stand?
Fickle, hypercritical, judgmental, ignorant twits.
Shallow kids ripping their parents apart at the seams,
Begging and pleading for more, more, more.
They’re always wanting to get more than they have.
Why?

What are we fighting for? Where do we stand?
I said answer me, America.
