Don't read this poem if you don't believe in the value of a penny.

I went walking today
through the snow
through the slush
saw a penny lying there
face up, means luck.

I was thinking today
about the penny
about the president’s face
why in this country
a penny, such a disgrace.

I was thinking today
of all people who
made this country great
we throw him out
this poem meet same fate?

I was walking today
through the snow
through the slush
saw a penny lying there
