God's clown
A short poem about the effects of agoraphobia on the mind.

Her faultered heart tearing apart at the seam,
tolerating life day by day,
a lost grip on the "American dream".
Nowhere to run and forced to stay,
others can't undertand
why she is like she is.
Only desiring an accepting hand.
Fears have devoured her very soul.
No one to shamefully blame,
to repair the self-inflicted hole
deteriated by her own shame.
A prisoner of a mind split,
Reflex thoughts control her actions,
her body an unwilling puppet
afraid of human interactions.
She exists as God's joke,
And His followers laugh with unrelention.
Reasoning becomes damaged and broke.
She cannot ignore their attention.
Searching for a worthy reason
while analyzing on the past.
Being watched by everyone,
While her wasted time diminishes fast.
