A LITTLE BIT GREEN.

I am Australian born, true blue,
But I've since looked up my Tree.
I've discovered family I never knew,
I'm a mix of races, see.

I found that I could be a Finn
On my Daddy's side, at least.
But Mum's Grandad had Viking blood
From Norway. Olaf - the Beast!

These men from Europe ventured out
'Cross waters to the West,
To England, and without a doubt,
Married only England's best.

One small entry in my tree,
Hidden in amongst the branches,
Was "Mary Brennan" - "Isle of Magee":
I'm IRISH! - What were the chances!

Now I can claim from Emerald Isle
I hail. I'll wear green tomorrow!
For a little bit of me can smile,
I'm part Irish - begosh and begorrah!
