I look in your eyes
And I see innocents and beauty Some people wonder why I freak when they call you a cutie We have a secret That no one else can know God help me keep it Don’t let the pain show I want to protect you I’m afraid I can’t hide you forever I don’t know what to do But I know we can beat this together Two years old and yet so strong With me alone you share your pain How could I have not known all along Now my tears fall like the rain I told them your words But they protect him not you A horrible story they all heard Yet nothing is what they do They turned their backs and walked away They left you my beautiful child With only bad and horrible things to say Like “Her imagination is wild!” I believe you with all my heart I stand by your side for all my days We’re together now, the healing can start I promise you baby girl… One day they will pay
