Blue Moon

Enfolding trembling knees
in aching arms, veins afire
luminous tears held numerous years
sing regret to the numinous choir.
Frozen to the greening ground
in the church of Nature’s peace
staccato streams implore Selene
for surging pain’s release...
asking the Blue Moon.

This tender block of leathered lies
melts too slow to save her soul-
yet drowns for sure the wishful cure
tethered to control.
Deflecting doubt with sculpted joy
her breast a buoyant drum
pride’s pools reflect a fool’s desire
for miracles that come…
once in a Blue Moon

A lilting breeze as Goddess speaks-
lifting cherished chestnut hair
breathes warm desire upon her nape
mouths trickling kisses there.
Craving to dance free, at ease
entwined in Goddess’ hand
searing envoy for love’s enjoy
heeds Psyche’s sweet demand.
Plunging the knife at the roots of strife
she shears each flowing strand.
Blind sacrifice unfreezes sight:
an answer shines in hand…
under the Blue Moon
