I SURRENDER TO YOU
Lord, life has been so full of pain. I don’t have wherewithal To bear this torture anymore That seems to be endless. O Lord, my feet are bound and nailed; My movements are fettered. I have however trudged along The rocky, thorny path. Lord, though I’m tired and exhausted I know inside my heart That somehow I must reach Your door And lay myself prostrate. O Lord, please stop now testing me. Bestow on me Your grace. Please lift Your child up in Your arms. I surrender to You. • Written in 8-6-8-6 format. • Honorable Mention award in Oddities & Novelties-The Contest, # 1106411, "Oddities & Novelties-The Contest" M C Gupta 8 May 2007
