How long it seems since I let my dreams take flight
Leaving my imagination free to soar Still young, there are so many things in sight I lie and face the wall; in bed at night Blank mirror of a life I can’t ignore How long it seems since I let my dreams take flight The colors of the rainbow have washed white Lost memories of the times there were before While young, there were so many things in sight When died the spark, which kept my spirit bright? This ship, now listless, cannot reach the shore From where I let my final dreams take flight Warm and windless, wandering like a kite I’m seeking for a new land to explore Still young, there are so many things in sight Reclaiming love I once again ignite Passions that leave my soul thirsting for more How long it seems since I let my dreams take flight Still young, there are so many things in sight
