It wasn't the first time.
The first time was embarrassing, a childish crush. First kiss? Not regretted. A painless end to innocence. First drunken fumble at a party, first rejection, first one night stand, first holiday fling. All done. First love? No. If love was real, it had come before. And if not, then this wasn't it. But despite a lack of originality, or an absence of cliché, it was still the essence of every day, at least for a while.
