IF I COULD CHANGE YESTERDAY If I could change yesterday, start over again, there would be no tears today to shed for you. I would start the day on a happier note and give you the love and support that's due. Instead, I found myself dissatisfied and cruel, turning away when you needed me to care. I was intent on getting ahead, on success; I just thought - you would always be there. How could I know that you needed me when I gave you no time to speak, to say what was on your mind, and I really wish that I could go back and change yesterday. The flashing lights out on Highway 101 were for a stranger in a wreck, driving too fast. A man without hope or dreams was gone and no matter what, we can't change the past. Countrymom 5/10/07
