TRAPPED Original untitled, now published. Written Nov 1, 1968 at the Vets Hosp. Morning brings the sunshine But no brightness do I see, Nor do I feel the warmth of life That should spread over me. ~ Still caught up in darkness, Re-living last night's dream. Dark foreboding thoughts Of death, yet still to me unseen. ~ Though I fought for my beliefs, Not one person can I tell, So I remain trapped in pain In this nightmarish Hell. Monty
