If you’ve ever wanted to know, the sound of a poem
Two cups consonants, one cup vowels & thro ‘em
Into your brain; shake well or beat with a stick
Bake into a cake or simmer a stew, nice & thick
Now add paper and pen, only if ur ol’ school
Kids out there, use a computer, that’s ur tool
Slit your wrist, pour out your heart, blood words mix
Tell your story, straight true, to read is to transfix
Now serve your write, hot over rice, or as a garnish
This is my recipe, free to use but please don’t tarnish
Should you try this at home, published, post mortem
If you’ve ever wanted to know, the sound of a poem
