If I had my way, the air would be pure.
No more pollution for us to endure.

If I had my way, crime would not exist.
Theft, rape and murder would never be missed.

If I had my way, we’d have no disease.
No need for doctors and their expertise.

If I had my way, the world would be fed.
No child felt hungry when he went to bed.

If I had my way, we’d have no more war.
Having world peace isn’t much to ask for.

If I had my way, all dreams would come true.
A world full of hope, we’d all start anew.

… but …

Dreamers can dream, still the world stays the same.
Humankind only has itself to blame.
