FALLING LEAVES: a haiku



One by one leaves fall:
Children desert the mother,
Silent cry of heart.



• Awarded second prize in Picky Poetry Contest, "Invalid Item" , Week 44, May 2007.
• Originally written as item 765462, which was deleted on 31 August 2004 and this poem was included in the book "MY POETRY BOOK"  as entry 346114. Re-posted as staic item on 16 May 2007.
