My Memory of Mom

My mother is a memory
I carry in my heart.
She gave me life and loved me
from the very start.

She taught me what was right.
She taught me what was wrong.
She worked hard to provide me
what I needed to belong.

She didn't ask for money.
She didn't ask for fame.
She simply held me close
and called me by my name.

My dear sweet Sharon you are
the world and more to me.
You've brought me so much joy
but now I have to leave.

Don't shed those tears my dear;
I taught you to be strong.
We'll be together soon enough;
Don't fret, it won't be long.
