A DIET OF NEGLECT



Disease often results from
A diet of neglect.
Ere we find other causes,
Diet we should suspect.

Diet causes dyspepsia
And colonic cancer,
As also diabetes,
Overweight, blood pressure.

In at least half the cases
Where health is affected,
Diet is the basic cause,
It is estimated.

If a child is underfed,
All of us have pity.
Let’s not spare the overfed;
He gets obesity.


None has immunity to
A diet of neglect.
To protect our own health we
Must our diet protect.
