LONG WAY FROM HOME.
The day God decided to call you to Him, I grieved, for you left me alone. But God felt your task on Earth was complete, So He took you a long way from home. No more will I hear the sound of your voice, Or the touch of your hand on my face, For now you are such a long way from home, You're no longer with me in this place. Every breath of fresh air that blows on my cheek, When I feel you're a long way from home, I know it's your kiss and the touch of your hand, And I don't seem so all on my own. Is Heaven really a long way from home? Or is it right here in my heart? For I sense you are with me each day that goes by, God would not let our souls be apart. When the task that He set me is over and done, He will call me. I'll no longer roam. Together once more we will be in a place Not a long way from home, we'll be Home.
