MEMORIES
There are certain people you Just keep coming back to. They may be gone from your life, Their memories haunt you. Whether those memories be Rough, tender, sweet or sour, They do bring again to you Ones who were in life your. No use pretending that you Can ever forget them. One memory does bring forth Many more in tandem. Often it so happens that In our heart we regret That to love our flesh and blood We often did forget. You can’t stop the memories From your mind, that is true. Give love to those yet around; That’s one thing you can do. • Written in abcb, 7-6-7-6 format * Awarded third place in "Like a Song" Poetry Contest, ""Like a Song" Poetry Contest" M C Gupta 19 May 2007
