Perseverance
Perseverance is
The might that allows
The soft touch of time,
Straightening life’s crooked line.
With each defeat
Armor is thickened,
Allowing for strength
In the midst of it all.
After year upon year
Of wonder and heartache,
It’s crystal clear;
Growing is all.
My heart now beats
In its place and confined,
Immersed in protection
Soothing my mind.
Through passage of time,
The armor has lightened,
Content I am,
Knowing all will be fine.
The road turned onto
Glows with warm grandeur.
So grateful I am;
Finding the way
In my own time.
