Your Farewell Shining
A son leaves his goodbye impression.

Surrendering we gathered at hospital one frosty winter day.
Choosing to end a fruitless battle; silencing all life support.
Reverently we baptized before angels took you away.
Shutting down life saving machines destined to abort.

Painfully you left behind such sad yet divine feeling.
Tearful eyes could hardly believe what we were seeing.
Shockingly we witnessed what all would later say.
Remarking everyone as to "how you glowed" that farewell day!
