I saw you last night the first time in years that I felt my eyes lay like they used to you were dying inside to tell me the things that were new about you but it really didn't matter because it really wouldn't because it really couldn't change all those things that made you regret ever wanting me You always could believe in, the words my eyes would say a fiction masquerade of vision designed to keep you at bay I always had my heart, sewn on my sleeve, or so I had you believe, an ignited torch that never burned Even now, still you strike me words have not been invented to describe the beauty I see but it really didn't matter because it really wouldn't because it really couldn't change all those things that made you regret ever wanting me Once again we said goodbye, I saw your eyes asking why? I wanted you just like before but it really didn't matter because it really wouldn't because it really couldn't change all those things that made you regret ever wanting me
