COLORS
The colors of the American flag have been shot at, stomped on, burnt and dragged have flown high on battlefields on home and foreign land have been placed with respect and honor in loved ones hands have stood for freedom, peace and glory have told each generation, America's story have hung in awesome beauty for hundreds of years have felt rain, snow, heat, wind and tears have waved proudly, no matter where or how long have had words written about them in song have been made into shoes, hats and shirts have known plenty of love and unspeakable hurts have been saluted, praised and cursed have always been called on first have never faltered and will always wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave
