I walked alone
in darkness . . . afraid of life, frightened of others, terrified of myself. Blinded by misery I stumbled and fell . . . bleeding, crying, dying inside. Countless tears formed a lake of sorrow. That is where I found you. A reflection of me, my dark mind. You were with me, always there, why did I not look before? Could you walk with me through our dark shadows and deep thoughts? If nothing more than to keep me From being alone?
