Everyone loved her.
And she in turn, loved everyone. Her kind nature and brilliant smile Lit up in the darkest rooms, And made anyone feel better. She gave change to the homeless. Even to the ones with signs that said: “Need money for beer.” “Their life sucks, at least buy them a drink!” She would laugh to people. And they would laugh back. She wasn’t perfect. She had her flaws, and was fine with them. But everyone still adored her. She got Christmas cards from past employers, Childhood friends, And even from her mailman. Yes, she was truly a beautiful person. She never wore a wig. She was proud of her baldness, For the fight she put up. And she never wore the bra- The one that came with the fake breast- Because she didn’t believe in it. It was her body- why make it seem perfect for others, When in her opinion, it already was? And even though her complexion was pale, Her eyes were bright and filled with laughter. Light danced in them in the morning; Peace and wisdom in the evening. She would give you the shirt off her back, And be there when you needed her. She would do anything for anyone- No questions asked. Yes, she was a cancer survivor; A best friend, Loving wife, And mother. But most of all- She was beautiful.
