The Past
A brief summarization of what I feel about the past.

flying past us in a blur
getting dizzy whats the cure
lost forever looking back
but seeing nothing
when looking for something
to base life on
whether its right or wrong
to write the song
on life
memories lost in seas of word
friendships hold strong
nothing to lose
just use
your mind and look back on life

keep your past in your pocket
like spare change
there's always moments with life
and strife
where you may need a penny
a penny for your thoughts
working through the knots
that are tied tight
trying with all your might
to fly that kite
of success
of excess
sweat to pull it up but like
charlie brown
its coming down
but picks back up with a breeze
and is saved from those entangling trees

life sneaks up
like a newborn pup
looking for attention
craving the unmentioned
and when you wat to
put your life in detention
you find it harder than you think
you blink
and sink
into endless wonder

looking at past
and blast
into future
nothing can be asked about
what you don't know
but you sit and sow
the seeds given to you from that
blurry past
use your mind
and find
that kind rewind
we like to call our past
