A DREAM

Long to touch her eyes to mine
A gateway to her soul
Reveiling what her friendship offers
The rest a mystery unknown
Through the labyrinth of this world
Her presence is my north star
Guiding my step upon step
Fueling an inferno in my heart
The song of her laughter and smile on her lips
Invigorates my life
Thoughts of fleeting romance
Beneath soft glimmers of moonlight
The candle that would light our passion
Lies under a veil of friendship
A spark is all that I wish
To paint the dream
Of her face in my palms
Sensually as we kiss

LOST

Orange Purple
Pink shades of light
Fade with the warmth
Giving way to night
North star flickers through an overcast of clouds
Though dies slowly
Engulfed by their shrowd
The glow of embers
Once aflame
May one day bring a heat again
Though the mystery and question is of when
Amis a world familiar in light
I stumble in the dark
That is life
My hands reach out into an abyss
Failing to touch onto a hold
As the last of the embers
Finally grow cold

A SASSY LADY

I am earth
You are sky
I wake to your pink mornings
And doze to your purple twilight
Happiness marked by green eyes
Kisses on the cheek
Long drives through the night
Scents of expresso, perfume and food
Laced with silence, lingering smiles
Bear forth the mood
The future taste of an unpredictable promise
Dreams of hope and a world left astound
Thankful for this person I found
