Another body falls to the floor
The blood of the demon in the air
One down a million to go
The blood crusted in my hair

I raise my sword in the air
I prepare to charge them at last
To slay the demons of my sole
To change my darkened past

I charge full force into the horde
I knocked the first demon to the floor
The others stared in awe and my courage
And in their awe I struck once more

That one small man
With no hopes, no dreams
Can charge so courageously to his death
But he was protected by something it seems

Something glowing in his hand
He seemed to hold it tight
What was it, the horde wondered
What could help him win the fight

It was the necklace of his lost love
The love that caused these demons to charge
He held it tight and continued to struggle
But then came a demon, so very large

This demon was not one like the others
It wasn’t frightening or scary
It looked just like his lost love
And with this he became very wary

It called to him, to him to give up
It said it loved him again, forever
But to give up would be his end
And this he couldn’t do, ever

And so he charged again
A tear in his eye
At the demon so normal
Any man would break down and cry

He struck it in the head
And it let out a scream
And now he has awoken
From this horrible dream
