Turn Away
        by Lost Poet  (scalpripper@Writing.Com)
The darkness creeps across my heart
I don’t know where the hell to start
the sun has set on my tragedy
so much hate I cannot see
the knife I carry in my hand
to make her bleed is my only plan
my eyes and heart full of rage
as I enter into maniac stage

but as I walk through the night
I see an angel looking down on me
tears form in her gentle eyes
her cry it reaches me and she says

turn away
before you destroy yourself
turn away
I can give you the help you need
to make it through

the rain its starts to fall on me
it begins to wash my insanity
I drop the weapon that I hold
the night its turned so damn cold
I feel a hand slip into mine
then warmth I haven’t had for a while
stare into those pretty eyes
as I do they start to shine

and as I walk through the night
I see an angel walking with me
tears form in her gentle eyes
her cry it reaches me and she says

turn away
before you destroy yourself
turn away
I can give you the help you need
to make it through

I finally give in to her
I turned around and walked the other way
my life its never been same since then
I know every time I hate she will say

turn away
before you destroy yourself
turn away
i can give you the help you need
to make it through
