Goodbye

A breeze whizzes by,
blowing away the wheat in the field.
A grain of rice drifts up into the sky.
Hasn't anyone told you that she's been killed?
No chance for a goodbye,
Just say a prayer for this time.

A cross over my heart and the chain swings,
The bond held together by a thousand silver rings.
Hasn't anyone gave her a burial, that poor little thing?
No chance to meet,
The apple doesn't taste that sweet.

Then comes a drought and away goes the rice,
Each lovely flower starting to shrivel and die.
Hasn't anyone given you a chance to wave her goodbye?
Raise a head to the heavens,
the future isn't so golden.

Standing beside a stream,
Staring into the sea.
Hasn't anyone given her a last gift?
No chance to live,
A last day spent covered in bricks.

The time reaches midnight,
The moon shines it's reflected light.
And she never finished her day feeling bright.
Still her figure appears tonight,
and I'll bid goodbye.
