This story is based on the Marvel Adventures the Avengers title for Marvel comics. For the Origin of Spider-Man read Amazing Fantasy #15 and for the origin of Giant-Girl ready Marvel Adventures the Avengers #13. This story happens after #13. Also Giant Girl wears the Blue and Purple suit
In Stark tower we see the Avengers in the sitting room. The Avengers were built up of Captain America, Iron-Man, Spider-Man, Hulk, Storm, Wolverine and Giant Girl. They were deciding what to do next. There had been numerous villains in different areas of the country and there weren't any heroes in that area to stop them. They could only draw up with one conclusion. "Ok team after long deliberation this is the plan," said Captain America. "We're dividing the team." For everyone this was a major event. This was the first time that the Avengers would be divided up like this. Bruce banner thought about it for a while (He's in human form and not the Hulk). "Is that really a wise choice?" he asked. "It's the only choice we have. Now we'll be split into three different teams. One will stay here in New York, one will have a base of operations in Texas and the last will be stationed in California." "That sounds great please don't pair me up with someone like the Sandman," replied Spider-Man. "Don't worry you won't be." "I have a property near Hollywood," said Iron-Man. "I'll be with the group that goes to California." "Just what I planned," replied Captain America. "You me and Doctor Banner will be in California." He then turns to Storm and Wolverine. "Storm, Wolverine would you be able to be stationed in Texas?" "I'm sure Professor X has a school in that area," said Storm. "And I've heard he's after new teachers." "Good and finally" Captain America turns to Spider-Man and Giant-Girl. "Spider-Man since you have family and a job in New York you can stay there with Giant Girl." "Great I was hoping that Jameson could transfer me to the Alaskan station," said Spider-Man. "Ok group we will meet again here on the first day of every month or if there's a national or international crisis. We'll keep in contact with each other." Over the next few weeks the Avengers were split and they were sent to the locations. For this story it will be centred on Your Friendly Neighbour Hood Spider-Man and his partner in Justice Giant-Girl. We see the pair hanging out in the basement of Spider-Man's basement in Queens. They are both in their casual clothes and watching some TV. "So when is our HQ going to be ready?" asked Peter. "Soon hopefully," replied Janet. "They're just installing the last few things and then it'll be perfect." "I can't believe your Dad's paying for it all." "Well since the World found out I was Giant-Girl my Dad's company has been having multi-million dollar contracts he said I deserved a little something." "But for now instead of having a huge HQ with hi-tech equipment we're stuck in my basement with a radio that's linked to the cop cars." "Calling all cars calling all cars," said the Radio. "The super powered being known as the Shocker is causing chaos at the First National Bank. I repeat Shocker causing Chaos at the First National Bank." "Shocker?" asked Peter. "I really should have kept a better eye on that guy." "Oh well we needed some excitement anyway," replied Janet. They then get up and they get their super hero suits on. They become Spider-Man and Giant-Girl. They leave the basement and go outside. Giant-Girl grows to 60 feet tall and Spider-Man web slings onto her shoulder. "Ok GG let's go and kick some Shocker Butt," said Spider-Man. "Aye aye captain," joked Giant-Girl. She raised her hand to her forehead. "But after this we really need to get something to eat." Giant-Girl then began to walk into the city. People marvelled as she walked over them to get to the bank. For a giant like herself the walk didn't take too long and she could see over a vast area. Spider-Man saw the First National Bank and he saw several Police cars around it and the Shocker seemed to have hostages. He seemed to be serious this time. "Ok Giant-Girl you know what to do," said Spider-Man. Giant-Girl then put Spider-Man on the ground and she reverted down to her normal size. Thankfully Shocker hadn't seen them coming so they decided to go for a sneak attack. But it was best to get the hostages out. If Shocker saw them coming then he would harm them. Giant-Girl got closer to the bank as Spider-Man went wide to keep himself hidden. Giant-Girl then went right to the doors of bank and Shocker saw him. "What's your name again?" asked Giant-Girl. "Was it Padded Pete?" "I'm the Shocker little lady," he replied. "I think you'll be taking that back." She then increased her size to about 20 feet. "You see I'm not that little." The Shocker then used his wrist devices to make shockwaves to push her back. She used all of her strength to stand her ground but she was being pushed back. He stepped out of the door and used his devise to push the police away. He then walked closer to Giant-Girl. "You'll have to be a lot bigger than that to be a threat to the Shocker," he said. "And who said this was my maximum size?" She then stood up and she continued to grow. She grew back up to 60 feet but this still wasn't her maximum size. "I think the words Fee Fi Fo Fum comes to play." Meanwhile Spider-Man was able to get inside the bank while the Shocker was distracted by Giant-Girl. He saw the hostages tied up and so he began to untie them and hey ran away. Shocker was too occupied to see them leave and he continued to fight against Giant-Girl. In the end Spider-Man joined in. He had been edging to have another bout with Shocker for some weeks and Giant-Girl thought it best to sit this one out since he was one of his enemies. After a few seconds Spider-Man used his webbing to web up Shocker and the shockwaves went back at him knocking him unconscious. Spider-Man then webbed Shocker onto a lamp post for the police to get to him. "I think this is all wrapped up," said Spider-Man. "That was so lame," replied Giant-Girl. "Sorry spur of the moment. Now let's grab ourselves a burger my treat." Giant-Girl then picked up Spider-Man and then they went on their way to a fast food restaurant. People cheered as the pair walked past and they waved at them back. But Giant-Girl's eye caught something. There were two police men shooting at someone. She could see that this person was a muscle man and he seemed to be on some sort of rampage. The bullets weren't stopping him. She quickly ran over to them and the police fled. "Wow this guy's got more muscles than the Hulk," said Giant-Girl. "But I bet that he doesn't have the strength," replied Spider-Man. He then jumped out of Giant-Girl's hand and he web slinged down and he punched the man. But the man still stood. "Wow he is almost as strong as the Hulk." "Then it looks like it's my turn." She then grabbed the man and tried to squeeze him. But he used his strength to weaken her grip. She could see the anger in his eyes but then he stopped moving and breathing. He fell onto her hand. "Oh my God he's not breathing," said Giant-Girl. "Quick bring him down here and I'll give him CPR," replied Spider-Man. Giant -Girl then put the man on the ground and Spider-Man began to give the man CPR. Spider-Man continued perform CPR to the man. But he wasn't breathing still. Giant-Girl was in tears and she shrank back down to normal size. She quickly ran to a payphone and she quickly called an ambulance. It came within minutes and paramedics tried to revive the man but it was too late he was dead. They took him away to have an autopsy. Giant-Girl was still in a state of shock and Spider-Man went to her to try and comfort her. "Are you alright Jan?" asked Spider-Man. "No I'm not," replied Giant-Girl. "I just killed a man. I can't believe this is happening. It has to be some kind of nightmare. I didn't hold him too hard." "Well maybe something else killed him." "How else could he have died? Please I just need some time alone." "Do you want me to websling you home?" "No I'm fine I'll get a cab." "Are you sure that you're going to be alright?" "I'll try to be." Spider-Man then webslinged away as Giant Girl signaled a taxi. He really felt her pain because it was the same one that he felt when his Uncle Ben died. Feeling that it was his fault. When Spider-Man got back to his home Aunt May was just going down the basement to see how he and Janet (Giant-Girl) were. He quickly got there and he took off his costume and back into his casual clothes. Aunt May came down with some lemonade. She had a big smile on her face. "Hi Peter I bought you some lemonade," said Aunt May. Then she looks around. "What ever happen to your friend?" "Oh she had to leave," replied Peter. "That's a shame. But don't forget MJ will be here in half an hour." Aunt May then gave Peter some lemonade and she left the basement. Peter had almost forgotten about his date with Mary Jane. He had to get washed and changed. He was ready in time for the date and Mary Jane came to the house. "Hey there Tiger are you ready?" asked May Jane. "As ready as I'll ever be," replied Peter. "Do we get a taxi or are you webslinging?" (Mary Jane knows that Peter is Spider-Man) "A cab." Meanwhile not too far away we see Janet getting to her mansion. She was paying the cabby and then she went inside. She was greeted by one of the butlers. "Good evening Miss Van Dyne," he said. "Hello Harold," replied Janet. "Can you bring some soda to my room please?" "With pleasure Ma'am." "Thank you." Janet then began to walk towards her room when her father stopped her. He had a huge smile on his face. "Janet your publicity is making our company millions," he said. "Even Dr Pym said he may be able to upgrade your costume." "Dad I just want to go up to my room." "Are you alright sugarplum?" "I'm fine I just need to rest." "Ok then I'll see you in the morning." Janet then went up to her room and she lay on her bed. Minutes later Harold came up with her soda. "Here is your soda Miss Van Dyne," said Harold giving Janet the soda. "Thank you Harold," replied Janet. She opened the can and she began to drink it. Harold could tell that something was wrong. "Are you sure you're alright Miss Van Dyne?" "No not really." "What's wrong?" Harold had always seemed to be a childhood friend for Janet. She had known him her entire life and she would tell him things that would be troubling her. He was there for her when her parents were busy elsewhere. But she gave out a sigh. "I killed a man," she said. Harold fell silent. "How did you do that?" "Me and Spidey were fighting this guy who was as strong as the Hulk. I grabbed onto him and he died in my hand." "I'm sure it wasn't your fault. I've known you since the day you were born and I know that you're no murderer." She then stood up and she hugged Harold. "Thank you Harold. You don't know how much that means to me." Meanwhile we see Peter at a fancy restaurant with Mary Jane. They were just ordering their meals. They were talking a little and Peter himself felt a little bad. "What's wrong?" asked Mary Jane. "I feel a little bad for Janet," replied Peter. "She's eating herself up because she thinks that she killed a man." "Did she?" "I don't know it happened so quickly." The pair got their meals a few minutes later and they began to eat it. But then Peter heard loud noises coming from outside. Then there was an explosion. He instantly got up and looked outside. He saw another man who had muscles as big as the Hulk. He quickly went to MJ. "I really need to go," said Peter. "I understand," replied Mary Jane. He then ran outside into an alley. He got changed into Spider-Man and he put his fancy clothes on the wall. He then webslinged towards the man. "What are you some sort of Hulk wannabe?" asked Spider-Man. "Because you have to be the second guy tonight." The man then threw a car at Spider-Man. He was able to dodge it but it went towards innocent people. he quickly used his webbing to stop the car between two buildings. But then he got hit in the back by the man and he fell to the ground. The man went to raise his fists to finish off Spider-Man. But like the other man he felt a sharp pain in his chest and he fell on the ground dead. Spider-Man quickly got up and went over to the man. He couldn't feel a pulse and he called the paramedics. They soon came and they tried to relieve him but it was too late he was dead. They took him away and Spider-Man had to go to a payphone. He called Janet. He waited for someone to pick up. "Hello this is the Van Dyne residents Harold speaking," said the Butler. "Hello its Peter I really need to talk to Janet," replied Spider-Man. "I'm sorry she is currently unavailable may I take a message?" "This is an emergency please it'll make her really happy." "Very well I'll put you through." "Thank you." Harold then went to Janet's room with the phone. She was still drinking her soda. She was a little happy to see him but she then saw the phone in his hands. "Who's calling?" asked Janet. "It's Mr Parker," replied Harold. "He says he has good news for you." "Ok thank you Harold." She is then passed the phone and she holds it to her ear. "Hello." "Hi Jan it's Peter," replied Spider-Man. "Hey Petey. What's the news?" "Well I thought another one of those muscle guys." "Oh my Gosh are you alright?" "Yeah all thought was damaged was my pride. And my spine. And my right lung." Jan giggled a little. "Where is this guy now?" "He's dead. But strangely he died the same way the other one did. But this time no one was touching him. He just keeled over." "So it wasn't my fault?" "Doesn't look like it." "Oh Peter you don't know who happy you've just maybe. When I see you I'm going to give you the biggest hug and kiss you could ever imagine." "I'm already looking forward to it. Now I think that we should start investigating tomorrow." "I'll meet you in your basement at 1 o'clock. Oh yeah one more thing. Our secret headquarters will be finished next week." They then put the phone down. Peter went back to Mary Jane in the restaurant. She had been waiting for him. He also had gotten changed into his fancy clothes and he sat back down. "So what happened?" asked Mary Jane. "It was the same as the last guy," replied Peter. "He died the same way as earlier. But this time no one was touching him." "I guess that you'll be going to investigate?" "Yeah but tomorrow when I'm refreshed because I'm a little tired." The couple then continued to eat their meals and then they left. They paid in full and even gave them a tip. Unfortunately they couldn't afford a taxi. But Peter still has his web shoots. He got changed into Spider-Man and he web slinged Mary Jane back home. Then he made his way back to his own home and he crawled through the window to his room. He quickly got changed into some night clothes. Then his Aunt May came up to him. It was obvious that she had been asleep. "Why Peter I didn't hear you come in," said Aunt May. "Well I didn't want to disturb you Aunt May," replied Peter. "Thank you Peter. Goodnight." "Goodnight Aunt May." She then left and Peter got into his bed. He soon got to sleep and Janet did the same in her bed. The next morning we see Peter in his basement. It was 1 o'clock and there was no sign of Jan. He was a little worried until he heard a tiny voice. "Hey Peter down here," said a voice. He then looked down and he saw a tiny sized Janet. She was no more than 3 inches tall. And she had her costume on and she carried some normal clothes. "Wow Janet you're tiny," said Peter. "Yeah I know." She then grew until she was at eye level with Peter. This was rough 5 inches above her natural height. "Since when could you shrink?" "Oh I've always been able to do it. But you can't fight crime when you're the size of an ant. I only used to it to see what you would say." "Well you did surprise me a little," said Peter. "It was only a joke anyway," replied Jan. But now I think that I should get out of this costume before your Aunt May comes down." Janet then went to a part of the basement where Peter couldn't see. She then took off her costume and put her casual clothes back on. To do this she had to shrink to her normal height and she then came out. "Ok Petey let's get down to business," said Janet. The pair then got over to a map that Peter had put up on the wall. He had put a pin on a few locations. Janet was a little confused. "What's this?" "Well this is where we've met all of those muscle guys," replied Peter. "Another few of some sightings that have been reported in the news." "What are we trying to look for?" "If there's anything in the area around it that can hold those guys." "They look a little too random. There's some as far as the Bronx." "Maybe later tonight we can se if we can find anyone with a connection. Maybe whatever's giving them their strength is being sold on the street." "But what do we do in the meantime?" "I don't know. Maybe we can think of a way to stop whatever this is. So far everyone who has become super strong like these guys have died." "Well maybe it's something to do with their strength." "Here's something a little off the subject. But could you come through the front door so Aunt May doesn't become suspicious. She may find it strange in how you got down here." "Ok" Janet then put on her costume and she shrank to the size of a Barbie doll and Peter put her through the open Basement window. When she was at the other side she grew back to her normal size and she got changed into her normal clothes. She then went to the door and she knocked it. Aunt May soon answered. "Good morning Mrs Parker is Peter in?" asked Janet. "I think he's in the basement," replied Aunt May. "Go right down if you need to." "Thank you." Janet then went downstairs to the basement. Peter was there waiting for him and he smiled at her. "Was that fun?" asked Peter. "Yeah a little," replied Janet. "But maybe something can happen to keep us occupied." Peter then went to radio to see if there was anything happening. But to their disappointment there was nothing out of the ordinary. "Looks like there's nothing," said Peter. "Maybe we can do some training at my Dad's lab," replied Janet. "He's got something there that can measure our limitations." "Yeah sure. It may help us fight whoever's causing the muscle men." "I'll call a limo." "One more thing shot gun." "Shotgun what?" "Shotgun going first on the strength tester. That's if you have one." "Yeah and I'll call shotgun on snack bar." "Good one." Janet then called for a taxi and it soon came to pick them up. The pair got into the taxi and they went on their way to the lab owned by Janet's father. The Taxi got them there in record time and Janet paid for the fare. She was more than happy to do this. But before they went into the lab Peter got changed into his Spider-Man outfit. Janet might not have a secret identify anymore but Peter still did. When he was in his costume they both went into the lab. They all saw Dr Pym working on his invention to communicate with ants. He soon saw them and he was happy. "Hello Janet," said Doctor Pym. "What brings you here today?" "We just wanted to test our limitations," replied Janet. "You don't mind if we try in the lower levels?" "Sure I'll take you down there." Dr Pym then took Spider-Man and Giant Girl down to the lower levels. It was a long way down and they soon saw why. The lower level had a very high ceiling. Easily 200 feet high. There was all different types of equipment down there. Spider-Man was amazed. "Wow look at all this stuff," said Spider-Man. "Don't tell me that you crated all of this?" "No I didn't," replied Dr Pym. "I created some of it but other scientists also created this technology. So what are you going to test first?" "Let's go with Spidey' super strength," said Janet. Dr Pym then took Spider-Man to where they tested super strength. Janet went away for a minute so she could change into her costume. Dr Pym switched on the machine and Spider-Man got himself ready. "Ok the machine is going to add a ton every ten seconds," said Dr Pym. "Are you ready?" "Yeah I'm ready," replied Spider-Man. "I just hope that i can lift more than GG." The machine started to add the tons on. Spider-Man was lifting up the weights like they were nothing. But as more and more tons were added he started to feel the strain. "Hey Doc this thing's getting kinda heavy. What am I on?" "Fifteen tons. Wait now sixteen." Spider-Man tried his best but he got up to 22 tons before he finally gave up. but no sooner had he finished Giant-Girl came. She was in costume and she smiled at him. "So how did you get on Spidey?" asked Giant-Girl. "Twenty two tons," replied Spider-Man. "Not bad. But now it's time to see just how big I can get." Dr Pym then took Giant-Girl to another device. This one was specially made to measure how big Giant-Girl could become. She stood in the centre of it looked at the two men. "Ok Jan whenever you're ready," said Dr Pym. Jan began to concentrate and she started to grow. The machine was reading 15 feet but it was steadily getting higher. Giant-Girl saw everything around her shrink as she grew taller and taller. She reached 40 feet and she was still growing. "Come on Jan keep going you're doing great," said Spider-Man. Giant-Girl still grew bigger. She was going past 90 feet. Everyone was impressed but she was still growing. They couldn't believe that she was still growing. But when she passed 120 feet they knew that she wasn't stopping any time soon. She started to sweat a little as she grew and she reached 160 feet. The ceiling wasn't too far away from it. The only reason she stopped growing was when she hit her head on the ceiling and this was at 200 feet tall. Spider-Man and Dr Pym looked up and the giant-sized Giant-Girl. They couldn't believe how big she had just become. They didn't even know she could get that big. "Wow Jan you're huge," said Spider-Man. "Yeah I know," replied Giant-Girl. "I didn't know you could get that big." "Just call it a gift." "Ok Janet," added Dr Pym. "It's best that you shrink slowly so that you don't cause your body any harm from the strain." "Ok." She then began to concentrate and she slowly began to shrink back to her normal size. It took her a minute to do it but she was down to in the mid 6 foot region. "There we go normal. Well relatively normal." "Hey Jan I was wondering what was the weather like up there?" asked Peter. "Very funny little man." The pair stayed at the lab for a few hours doing some exercises and they trained a little more and they tested their powers more. They found out at maximum size Jan could move just under 150 tonnes. Spider-Man was one of the fastest men alive (In athletic wise not super-power) But eventually it came to night time and it was time for the pair to go and investigate and look for these new strong men. They needed a good way of finding out. They decided to use the husband beaten woman routine. Spider-Man put some pain around Giant-Girl's left eye so it looked like she had a black eye. She also shrank to under 5 feet tall and she put on a rain coat to cover her costume. She now looked like a poor defenceless woman. "You look perfect Jan," said Spider-Man. "You really think so?" replied Giant-Girl. "Yeah you look like you've been beaten good." "Great that's exactly what I want." The pair then went to the streets where the muscle men had been found and died. This was where they were going to begin looking. Giant-Girl would roam the streets as a poor defenceless woman wanting to get revenge on her abusive husband. Spider-Man would keep an eye on her and he would follow her through clinging onto buildings. Eventually she saw a man who had some bags of powder with him. She knew that he was some kind of drug dealer. She carefully approached him. Spider-man kept a close eye on her. If she got into any trouble he would save her so it looked like she didn't have any powers. "Excuse me," said Janet. "I need a favour of you." "I don't have time for you," replied the Man. Then Janet got a $50 dollar bill out of her pocket. "You were saying." "Oh since you put it like that. What do you want?" "My husband beat me today and I knew that it was the last straw. I need something that can help me take revenge on him. But the perfect way to do it is if I become more physically dominant than him." "Ok I know what you mean. I don't have anything that can do that. But I know someone who does. Follow me." "Thank you." The man started to walk Janet away. Spider-Man followed them and he couldn't stop thinking about how brilliant Janet had been. If she wasn't a superhero she would be perfect in being an actress. The man led Janet to some kind of derelict building. At first she thought that she was going to be in some kind of immediate danger. She looked at the man. "What is this place?" asked Janet. "It might look abandoned on the outside but on the inside," replied the Man. "But you should see the inside." They both then went into the building. Spider-Man carefully walked through a window and he could see the inside. There were high tech cages and equipment. There were muscle men like before but they were in the cages. There was one man who seemed to be the mastermind behind all this. He then saw Janet come in with the other man. "Dr Monroe this client would like a favour of you," said the man. "What is it?" replied Dr Monroe. He was an oldish man and he had some grey hairs. He was about average height and he had blue eyes. "My husband regularly beats me," said Janet. "I've had enough and I want revenge." "Hmm a vendetta very interesting. So you want to take revenge on your abusive husband." "Yes I do." Dr Monroe then gave the man some money and he left. "You see I have created a formula that increases the muscles density to maximum granting the person enough strength to take on he Hulk himself." "So could this formula give me enough strength to beat up my husband?" "More than that you would be able to kill him. I've tested the formula on men but never on a woman. This would be most interesting." Spider-Man was clinging to the ceiling and he couldn't be seen. He had a recorder with him so he was able to get everything that was being said. He still admired how much Janet was being believable. "One more thing the formula is a little pricey so I'll have to either take cash or credit card," said Dr Monroe. "Ok I'll use my card," replied Janet. "Oh a card will be a little bit of a problem. What's your name?" "Janet Van Dyne." "Hmm that name seems familiar." Then she gave the signal for Spider-Man to come down. "That's because I'm..." She then began to grow. She burst out of the rain coat and grew until she was about 25 feet tall. "Giant-Girl." "You tricked me!" He then ran to the wall and pushed a button on it. This released the muscle men from their cages. "Ha even at your size you won't be able to take them all out by yourself." "Who said I was alone?" Then Spider-Man jumped to the ground in front of Dr Monroe and he webbed him to the wall. "And that's a present from your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man," said Spider-Man. But now they had to turn their attentions towards the muscle men. They were free and they were going after the pair. "Ok Spidey what do we do?" asked Giant-Girl. "Well first off we prayer for a miracle and then hope that everything goes well," replied Spider-Man. he then thought for a second. "Or maybe we should just kick muscle men butt." "That's my language." Spider-Man then began to web some of the men up. But they easily broke out of the webbing with a simply flex of their muscles. "GG if we get out of this alive remind me to make stronger web fluid," said Spider-Man. "I'll keep a mental note," replied Giant Girl. "But right now I'm way too small to do anything to these guys. I think I'll have to go to Maximum size." "You'll go through the roof literally." "And for your own safety I'll need hang on to you." Giant-Girl then grabbed Spider-Man and she began to grow. Dr Monroe was relatively safe on his wall. But when Giant-Girl went through the roof the roof itself came crashing down on the men. She kept growing until she reached her maximum size. She looked down and saw what was left of the building. "That should stop them," she said. Then she saw the rubble begin to move. Then the men came up. "Wow these guys don't know when to quit." "Ok Giant-Girl leave them to me," replied Spider-Man. Giant Girl then released her grip on Spider-Man and he webslinged to the ground. He used his reflexes to make the men hit one another. But one of them got too close to hitting him and Giant-Girl used her giant sized foot to stop him. "Remember to go easy on them," said Giant-Girl. "It's the drugs that's doing this to them." "Try telling them that." But then all of the men collapsed. At first the pair were a little confused. But then they remembered about the strain the drug does to the heart. Spider-Man checked their pulses but they were dead. Giant-Girl shrank to her normal size and she cried a little. "Those poor men," she said. "We couldn't save them." "Don't worry Dr Monroe will go to prison for the rest of his life for this," replied Spider-Man. In a matter of minutes the police came. They arrested Doctor Monroe and they took the men to the morgue. Spider-Man and Giant-Girl were then interviewed by TV news reporters and reporters for the papers. They answered several questions. But eventually they had to leave. Giant Girl shrank to the size of an ant and Spider-Man picked her up and webslinged away. "Wow what a night," said Giant-Girl. "I know and I think I'll call you Ant-Girl," replied Spider-Man. "I only use my shrinking powers when needed. I'm still Giant-Girl. But for now a little smaller." "Anyway I better get back home before Aunt May realises just how long I've been gone for." Spider-Man then took giant-Girl back to her mansion and she increased her size to her normal. Then he went back to his home and Aunt May was waiting for him. Meanwhile in the forest outside New York City. There were two hikers in the forest. They were going for a night stroll. But there was a small ditch that they couldn't see. one of the hikers fell in there. "I'm stuck I can't get out," said the Hiker. "Don't worry I'll get help," replied the other Hiker. He then went away. But then the hiker in the ditch felt heavy footsteps and then they stopped after a minute. Then a huge hand came down and picked up the man. It put him safely on the ground. The Hiker looked at where it came from. He saw a giant figure but it was shadowed. "There you go," said a soft woman's voice. The man then ran away into the night away from the giant. A few days later we see Peter and Janet going down in a lift. This lift was taking them to their new headquarters. Although Peter's basement was nice it didn't have the proper things to fight crime and it didn't have an X-Box 360. When the door opened Peter looked in amazement at the headquarters. It was huge and there was everything there. A huge TV a computer, basketball court, training room, bedrooms, kitchen everything. It was like a house. "Wow this stuff must have cost a fortune," said Peter. "And to think I only get a 5 figure annual salary." "Well it did cost a pretty penny," replied Janet. "But my dad can afford it. I just got to remember to give him the World's Biggest hug the next time I see him. But for now do you want a game on the X-Box?" "I wish I could but I've gotta go to the Bugle. Jonah's gonna bite my head off if I'm late." "Ok but first take this." She then handed him a device with a small screen on it. "What's this?" "This is so we can communicate when needed. It's quite handy. And do you want a limo to the Bugle?" "No thanks I'll take the bus." "Ok your loss." Peter then left the headquarters. The Headquarters were located underneath Janet's Mansion. There were so rooms that had windows that saw the sunlight. To most people it looked like an extension to the house. Peter caught the bus to the Daily Bugle building. He went up to the main office and he was confronted by Robbie Robertson. He was a long time Friend of Peter and he also liked Spider-Man. "Hey Robbie," said Peter. "Hey Peter," replied Robbie. "Jonah wants to see you in his office. And he doesn't sound too happy." "I wonder what I've done this time." Peter then walked to J. Jonah Jameson's office. He was fuming and he saw Peter come in. "Parker finally you got here," said Jonah. "Sorry I'm late Mr Jameson," replied Peter. "We'll deal with that." He then picked up the New York Post. It had a picture of a huge footprint and a title that said "Giant spotted in Forest" Jonah wasn't too pleased with this. "Parker some Hiker's seen a giant in the forest." "You actually believe that?" "No but it makes a good story. Go and get picture I'll give you a bonus if they're any good. Now get outta here." "Yes Mr Jameson." Peter then left the office and went to the restroom. He got the communication device that Janet had given him. He tried to contact her. Meanwhile at the Headquarters we see Janet in her Giant-Girl costume. She was doing some training using equipment given to her by Wolverine and Storm. They were good for testing her size changing powers. She had things try to crush her but she would rapidly grow so that it wouldn't be a problem. But then she heard the device go off. She took it out of her pocket and looked at it. It was still normal size but she was gigantic. "Note to self ask Hank to make me one that changes size with me," said Giant-Girl. She then pushed the button and she slowly shrank to her normal size "Hey there Peter what's up?" "This might be a stupid question but did you go to the forest a few days ago?" "No I haven't been there for years why?" "Well there's claims to be a giant there. They've got footprints and everything." "Wow another giant I might get a boyfriend after all." "Sorry to disappoint you but the New York post says that it's a woman." "Oh I was looking forward to that. Oh well never mind." "Ok Peter I'll meet you at the Bugle in 15 minutes," said Janet. "We'll go out of costume. But we'll take them with us just in case. We don't know if this giant woman is gentle or violent." Fifteen minutes later we see Jane pulling up outside the Daily Bugle building. She was driving an old car that had seen better days. She would drive in this car so not to raise too much attention to herself. If she drove a Rolls Royce everyone would think she was some sort of bratty rich girl. She was rich but she was far from a brat. Then Peter came out and got into the car. He was amazed to see Janet driving the car. He expected something more spectacular. "I thought you'd drive something expensive and bigger," said Peter. "Well when I'm in this no one knows I'm Janet Van Dyne," replied Janet. "They just think I'm someone who looks like her." "Yeah you'd make big bucks if you could be a look-alike." Janet then drove the car out of New York city and towards the rural forest area. They stopped at the public car park. They were stopped by guards but Peter showed him his Daily Bugle card and they let them in. "This thing can come in handy sometimes," said Peter. "Who do i get one of those?" replied Janet. "Well you've gotta get Jonah a thousand cups of coffee and work 16 hours a day." They both laughed and Janet pulled into a car space and they got out. She was wearing hiker's clothes since she was going to be doing a lot of walking. She also had a bag with her that had her Giant-Girl costume in it. Peter had his costume on under his clothes and he had his web shooter, mask and gloves in his bag. "Ok then what now?" asked Peter. "I think it's best we split up," replied Janet. "We can cover more ground." "Right and let me guess radio in if we find anything?" "Yeah and to also decide what flavour pizza we have on the way back." "I pick Ham and Cheese." The pair then went into two different directions. For now we'll stick with Spider-Man. he was looking everywhere and he could finding anything. But he thought if there really was a giant woman somewhere around here there'd be a lot more damage to the trees. This was because she would have to move around. Eventually Peter got tired and he had a sit down. He got a bottle of water from out of his bag and he started to drink it. But then he felt his Spider sense go off. He looked around to see what was happening. But before he could react a giant hand came down and picked him up. He then saw a girl who had brown hair and hazel eyes. She had some freckles and she couldn't have been older than 16. She wore a basic toga that seemed to be like a mini dress. She also wore very basic shoes. They were just single strap sandals. But she was exactly 60 feet tall. Peter went to get his web shooters but he couldn't get to his bag. "A little man," said the Giant Girl. "I just want to hug and love you." She then hugged Peter. he noticed something strange. This wasn't how a typical 16 year would girl act. But then she stopped hugging him and looked at him. "What's your name little guy?" "My name's Peter Parker," he replied. "Hi Peter I'm kitty Pryde. Let me show you around." She then began to walk. Peter noticed how Kitty just walked through the trees like a ghost. She was smiling and giggling as she walked. But Peter couldn't get to his communicator. Eventually Kitty got to a clearing. There was plenty of space for her to sit and she did sit down. She put Peter down on the ground. He saw a normal sized stuffed toy by his feet. it was a purple dragon. "Lockheed," said Kitty. She then picked up the dragon and she hugged it. "I thought I lost you." Peter was noticing more that Kitty wasn't like a 16 year old. She seemed to be like a little kid. "How did you get so big?" asked Peter. "I'm not big. Everything around me is small." She then giggled. "Would you like a tea party?" "Actually I'm suppose to be finding a friend." "Please stay." Peter saw tears in her eyes. She was probably lonely here so he smiled. "Ok I'll stay for a few minutes." "Yeah." She then hugged him. "Thank you." She then put him back on the ground. She put Lockheed down by her. She then started to our pretend tea into pretend cups. She gave one to Peter and he took it off her. He was playing along. "Ok Peter would you like sugar with that?" "Err two lumps please." She then pretending put two lumps of sugar in the imaginary tea. She then looks at Lockheed. "Would you like some tea Lockheed?" asked Kitty. "<Oh yes please Kitty>." She mimicked the Dragons voice. She then poured him some tea. "There you go Lockheed. Sugar? <Oh no thank you>." "Err Kitty I was just wondering," said Peter. "How can you phase through those trees?" "Oh that. I'm told that I'm something called a Mutant. I can walk through anything." Just then Peter's communicator went off. He knew that it was Janet. He quickly stood up. "I've just gotta take this call. But I promise I'll be back in a minute." "Ok Peter." He then walked away a little and then he took the message. He heard her voice come through to her. "Peter have you found anything?" asked Janet. "Yeah I found our mysterious giant," replied Peter. "Wow you have. What is she like?" "Well she's like a big kid. I think it's best that you come though." "It's alright I'll track you down. See you in a minute." Peter then walked back to Kitty. But he found that she had fallen asleep. She had Lockheed tight in her arms and she looked so peaceful. Peter could only smile at her. Eventually Janet was able to get to him. She looked at the giant girl sleeping. She then looked at Peter. "I would say that she was huge," said Janet. "But I can get bigger. How did she get so big?" "Well she just said that everyone else was small. But she did say that she was a mutant." "So is it a mutant power like Storm or Wolvie's?" "I don't think so. She said her mutant powers was to walk through anything." "That's weird. Hank didn't do any experiments on anyone besides me." Then the two saw Kitty slowly wake up. She rubbed her eyes and she sat up. She yawned and she had Lockheed in her hand. She looked down and she saw peter and Janet. Her face lit up. "You got a friend," said Kitty. She then looked closer at Janet. "You look like Giant-Girl." Janet thought about revealing her identity to Kitty but decided not to. She just looked up and smiled. "Yeah a lot of people have said that to me," replied Janet. "My name's Janet. What's yours?" "Kitty Pryde." "Well it's nice to meet you Kitty. You're a very unique individual. You know some people would kill to be you." "What's a kill?" "It's something very bad that you don't want to do. I was wondering what's it like living here all by yourself?" "Oh I don't live here by myself." Then Peter and Janet were lost for words. "Who do you live with?" "My Mommy. She then put her hand on the ground. "Let me take you to her." The pair then got into Kitty's hand. She made sure that they were safe and then she stood up to her full height. She then began to walk away. Peter and Janet were enjoying the view of the forest from where they were. But then they saw a clearing where they saw a small house. The garage was destroyed. They also saw a normal sized woman on the ground hanging some of her washing to dry. She saw Kitty coming and she also saw that she had Peter and Janet in her hand. Kitty eventually stopped and sat down by her mother. Her mother had black hair and hazel eyes. "Kitty what are they doing here?" asked Kitty's Mother. "Mommy they're my friends," replied Kitty. Peter and Janet then walked up to her. "Hello sorry to have to come to you like this," said Janet. "My name is Janet Van Dyne and this is my friend Peter Parker and you must be Mrs. Pryde." "Please call me Theresa. Wait I know you're name you're Giant Girl." Then Kitty's face lit up more than before. "You're Giant-Girl?" she asked. "Yes I am," replied Janet. "I'm your biggest fan." "Yeah literally." Kitty then picked up Janet and hugged her. She was also humming. But then she put her on the ground. Can you make yourself as big as me?" "Yeah sure." She then took off her suit to reveal her Giant-Girl costume. She then concentrated and she began to grow as tall as Kitty. When the change was over Kitty couldn't stop clapping her hands. "There you go ladies and Gentlemen the amazing Giant-Girl at a circus near you," joked Peter. Kitty then hugged Janet again except this time she had more of her to hug. She even shed a tear. "You're like me." "I know and I was wondering that. I think I need to talk to your Mommy." Janet then shrank down to about 6 feet tall and then she looked over the Theresa. "You don't mind if we have a chat?" "No not at all," replied Theresa. "Ok I think we need to know how Kitty got so big?" asked Janet. "Well it's a subject that I don't talk to Kitty about," replied Theresa. "If you don't mind I'll tell Peter and you keep Kitty occupied." "Ok that sounds fine. Peter can tell me a little later." Theresa then looked up at her 60 foot tall daughter. She was smiling back at her mother. "Kitty why don't you show Giant-Girl your beautiful garden? I'm sure she'll like it." "Ok Mommy," replied Kitty. She then picked up Janet and she walked away towards her garden that she had made herself. Theresa took Peter inside the house. They had a cup of coffee and they sat down. "How did Kitty get so big?" asked Peter. "Well it started a few months ago," replied Theresa. Now we go to a flash back. Kitty is normal sized, wearing normal clothes and on a computer. "Kitty was a computer genius. She was putting many experts to shame and she was only 15. When she was 13 she was doing college level courses." But we ran into some hard times. Kitty was forced to get a job at Starr Industries. They were testing something that could change the size of organic material. Because Kitty was young they decided to do their experiments on her. The head scientist was called Elihas Starr. I never liked him but we needed the money so we just went along with it. But one day they injected kitty with their experimental growth serum. Some kind of particles. To their relief Kitty did grow to a colossal size. But it had also affected her mind. She became child like and this was didn't sit well with the company. They were about to experiment on her more but Elihas Starr disappeared. No one knew where he went. Kitty came back to and she was stark naked. She just smiled at me and hugged her. Thankfully I was able to buy an old parachute off EBay for a good price and we used that as a dress. Her shoes we just got some wood and two straps. But I've never seen her so happy. But I wanted to get something from the company. At first I wanted to take them to court but if I did everyone would know about Kitty and I would have had unwanted attention. Thankfully we already lived out here so it pretty isolated for Kitty to run around in. But when kitty was normal she was unhappy. Her intelligence had singled her out from her friends and her mutant powers also made things more difficult. But since her intelligence went down she's never been so happy. Back in the kitchen now. Theresa is still talking to Peter. "So now you know how Kitty became a giant," said Theresa. "She liked Giant-Girl because she was like her and a hero." "Did she like Spider-man?" replied Peter. "Yeah she loved him. But he was definitely her second favourite." Back with Kitty and Janet. Janet was looking at Kitty's beautiful garden. She admired the beautiful flowers. "So you planted these all by yourself?" asked Janet. "Yes I water them everyday," replied Kitty. "Do you have a garden?" "I did when I was younger but all of my flowers died." "That's sad. I can help you if you want." "Thanks Kitty I'd like that." "I'm making my garden beautiful for when my Daddy comes home." "Oh when is he coming?" "I'm expecting him any minute." Kitty then picked up Janet and took her back to the house. Peter and Theresa was waiting for them. Kitty put Janet on the ground and then she sat down. She smiled at the normal sized people by her. "Hey Theresa," said Janet. "I'm really excited to meet Kitty's father." "What?" replied Theresa. "Kitty told me he should be here any minute." "Oh erm can I talk to you in private please?" "Yeah sure." Janet and Theresa walked away. This left Peter with the 60 foot teenage girl with the brain of a young child. He smiled at her and he smiled back. "You've got a very nice house Kitty," said Peter. "Thanks Mommy makes it nice and clean," replied Kitty. "I was just wondering. How did the garage get destroyed?" Kitty then blushed a little. "I sat on it. She then hugged Lockheed. "I didn't mean to do it." Meanwhile inside the house again Theresa was with Janet. She had a worried look on her face. "What's wrong?" asked Janet. "Kitty's father left years ago," replied Theresa. "He was the manager at a bank but when the bank went bust he left. We had some arguments before and he just walked out the door and I have seen or heard of him since." "That's terrible." "Kitty had to have therapy over it. But when she grew she forgot that he had left. She's been expecting him home for months now and I haven't had the heart to tell her that he's not coming back. She's happier then she's ever been and I don't want to ruin it." "Don't worry it." Janet began to think for a minute. "I have an idea. Why don't I take Kitty to my Dad's company? There's a man that works there called Dr Pym. He was the guy who created my size changing suit. He's an expert when it comes to growing and shrinking. I'm sure that he'd be able to find a cure for your daughter." "You'd really do that?" Theresa then shed a tear and hugged Janet. "Thank you." They both go back outside and Kitty is playing with Peter. He was being careful not to get hurt. Then she saw her mother and Janet come out. She stopped playing and looked at them. "Err Kitty Miss Van Dyne has offered you a little help," said Theresa. "For the rest of the day you'll go with her to see a very nice man." "Ok Mommy," replied Kitty. She then stood to her full height and she looked down at them. "Where is he?" "He's in the city sweetie." "Hey Kitty do you want a rid on my shoulders?" asked Janet. Kitty smiled. "Yes please," she replied. Then Janet used her suit to make herself grow. She kept growing until she was 200 feet. Kitty was now truly the size of new born baby. Janet then picked her up and sat her on her shoulders like a parent would do for a toddler. She even picked up Peter. "Kitty wave goodbye to Mommy," said Giant-Girl. Kitty then waved to her mother. "Bye mommy see you later." "Bye kitty," replied Theresa. Giant-Girl then began to walk through the forest. Kitty made sure that Lockheed was safe and she had Peter on her shoulder. She was excited to go to the city. She would sometimes gaze at it at night. She wanted to go there so badly. The walk didn't take Giant-Girl very long. She was even able to pick her car up along the way. But when they entered the city Kitty got very excited. She had never seen buildings taller then her before (Well before her growth). She could see people on the ground and she smiled. "They look like dollies," said Kitty. "Well for your point of view they are," replied Giant-Girl. "But they're real people. Now I've gotta be careful where I put my over sized feet. I don't want to make any damage." "Hey GG," said Spider-Man. "I just need to take these pictures to the Bugle. You don't mind if I leave you for now." "No go ahead. You need to make your money." "Thanks. I'll meet you at your dad's company in a minute." Spider-Man then web-slinged off Kitty's shoulder and he went towards the Bugle. He got there in fast time and he produced the photos before showing them to J. Jonah Jameson. He got them ready and took them to his boss. Jonah looked at the pictures. "You expect me to believe these?" asked Jonah. "These are obviously fakes." "Believe me Mr. Jameson they are real. Giant-Girl is even in the city with her on her shoulders." "So she can't be all that big." "I think Giant-Girl's at Maximum size. The other giant must be around 60 feet tall." "Ok then go and take pictures of the both of them together." "Yes Mr. Jameson." Meanwhile Giant-Girl had reached her Dad's company. She shrank until she was the same height as Kitty. Hank Pym came out to them and he looked up and smiled. "Hi Jan everything's ready," said Hank. "Good," replied Giant-Girl. "But first of all I would like to introduce you to Kitty." "Hello Kitty." "Hello Mr. Pym." then some huge doors opened and Giant-Girl took Kitty down to the lab. There were numerous scientists there waiting for her. Kitty was a little nervous and she had a stronger grip on Lockheed. "Relax Kitty these guys won't hurt you like the others did," said Giant-Girl. "Ok Giant-Girl," replied Kitty. Then she saw Hank on the ground he was looking up at her. "Ok the first thing we're going to do is measure your height. Are you alright with that?" "Yes." He also noticed that Lockheed was dirty. there was brown marks on him everywhere. "And while we're doing the tests we can clean Lockheed for you." "No I want Lockheed." "Don't worry you'll get him back and he'll be nice and clean. And a clean dragon is a happy dragon. You do want Lockheed to be happy." "Yes I do." "Then let us wash him." Kitty then reluctantly gave Dr Pym her beloved stuffed Dragon Lockheed. He then took it away to be dried cleaned. She was sad to see him go but Giant-Girl was able to cheer her up. But now Kitty needed to be measured. She was put to a measuring bar. They used the same one to measure how tall Giant-Girl was when she used her powers. They were getting everything right. But the results shocked them. "How tall am I?" asked Kitty. "Well from this you're 63'7," replied Dr Pym. "But that should be a dead. No one can stand being that tall." "Wait I've been bigger then Kitty," said Giant-Girl "Are you saying what I've been doing is impossible?" "No your suit makes you body able to support your weight. But I seriously doubt that this parachute Kitty is wearing will help." "Then what else can we do?" "I need to who caused this to Kitty. Do you know?" "Kitty's mother told me that it was by a man called Elihas Starr." Dr Pym stopped speaking for a moment. "Did you just say Elihas Starr?" "Yes do you know him?" "Yes at one time we were like brothers. But we soon became bitter enemies." "What happened?" "I was developing the Pym Particles that power your suit he stole my idea and began to develop hit himself. We terminated our friendship and we haven't talked since. I knew he was mad but I didn't think he'd be mad enough to test it on another human being." Just then Spider-Man came in. He came in through one of the windows and he landed right on Giant-Girl's shoulder. He had a bag candy in his hand "Sorry to interrupt this little chat but I brought a little something for the not so little lady," said Spider-Man. He then went down and gave it to Kitty she gave him a little hug and kiss to say thanks. But then Giant-Girl looked at him. "Hey Spidey you can access to the Daily Bugle database?" asked Giant-Gir. "Yeah sure." "Well we need to know about Dr Elihas Starr. Can you do that?" "Can a Spider climb up a web? All I need is a computer with access to the Internet." "There's plenty around here." Spider-Man then went to one of the computers and access the Daily Bugle database. But meanwhile the scientists continued to do the tests on kitty. Her X-Rays showed that her body wasn't under any strain. A blood sample showed that she was immune to any disease or injury. But a brain scan showed an anomaly. This probably led to Kitty's child like personality. Eventually Spider-Man got the attentions of Giant-Girl and Doctor Pym. Some of the Scientists kept Kitty occupied with toys and the return of her beloved stuffed toy Lockheed. To get to the computer Giant-Girl went from being gigantic to being tiny. She sat on Spider-Man's shoulder. But when they went through the articles they saw that Dr Pym was right about his old friend. He had several run ins with the law about his testing. Eventually his company was shut down because of illegal testing. "Wow this guys got a record," said Spider-Man. "And not the good one," replied Dr Pym. "This might be difficult for me to help Kitty. The Pym particles she was received were different then the ones I developed. Mine won't help." "So what do we do?" "There's only one thing to do. Find Dr Elihas Starr." "How do we find him?" asked Janet. "He could be anywhere." "Start looking in his old lab," replied Dr Pym. "I can get an address for you." He then printed off the address of Dr Elihas Starr's lab. He then gave it Spider-Man. "Thanks but what about Kitty?" "Leave her to us. We can keep her entertained." "What ever you do don't bore her to death with science. Put on a Winnie the Pooh DVD for her or something." "I will don't worry." Spider-Man and Giant-Girl then left the lab. Giant-Girl quickly said goodbye for Kitty. She was sad to see her heroine leave but she knew that she was coming back soon. Outside Spider-Man and Giant-Girl were trying to decide who should carry who. This was a game they'd play normally. "Ok Rock, Paper, Scissors," said Spider-Man. "Winner gets a lift, loser gets to do the traveling and draw we both have to travel." "Fair enough," replied Giant-Girl. The pair then did rock paper scissors. Giant-Girl had rock and Spider-man had scissors. She cheered in excitement. "I win." "Oh and I wanted to see a giant sized point of view." "Never mind maybe next time. But it looks like I'm going to stay at this size for a little longer." "Hold on tight Jan." Spider-Man then began to websling through the city. Giant-Girl had the now over-sized address in her hand. She was looking for it and she recognised the road. "Try going that way," said Giant-Girl. She pointed to a certain direction and he went there. Eventually they got to an abandoned building. Spider-Man landed on the ground and he put Giant-Girl on the ground. She grew to normal size and looked at the building. "Wow talk about old creepy buildings," said Giant-Girl. "This place gives me the willies just looking at it." "Believe me this is nothing compared to one of Mysterio's warehouses. That guy takes creepiness to the max." "After you." "No ladies first." "Since when have you been a gentleman?" "Since I noticed the colour of your eyes." "Oh that's sweet." "Got you." "I'm a sucker for compliments." The pair then go into the building together. They went to the main lab. It was huge and there were some computers just left there. Spider-Man turned one of them on and he started to go through the files. "Got anything?" "Yeah I've got the serum but no location to Dr Starr." "Well the serum is what's important for now. Kitty can get the cure she needs. We can worry about him latter." "Well once I didn't bother with a crook. In the end he killed my Uncle." "I'm sorry Spidey." "Don't worry I got him in the end." Spider-Man and Giant-Girl were still creeped out about this lab. It was too creepy for their liking and they were glad to get out. But when they did Giant-Girl grew again and picked up Spider-Man. "Next stop Hank's lab," said Giant-Girl. "Do you really think he'll cure Kitty?" replied Spider-Man. "He's the smartest guy I know. I'm sure he'll come up with something." Meanwhile in another Universe there was a big blobby creature. It had no legs but it had a machine to carry him around with legs like spiders. He was watching a huge screen and he had a few assistants around him. "WHY ARE MY RATINGS FALLING?" he asked. "Mojo maybe we could you know spend a bit more money on the programming," replied one of the Assistants. Mojo had a gun on his walking machine and it fired at the assistant. He was disintegrated almost instantly. "Spend more money," said Mojo. "Why am I surrounded by idiots?" "Well we could get some new talent," replied another one of his assistants. This one was a tall man with grey hair. "Yes new talent that's what we need. Remind me not to kill you this week Major Domo." "I will try sir." "Get Minor Domo here I need to something." Then a short woman with brown hair and wearing a typical bell boy suit came in. She looked at Mojo and she tried to smile. "Yes sir," she said. "I need new talent my ratings re falling after Longshot decided to rebel against me." "Well there are two creatures that'll help on a planet called Earth." "Will they do?" "I believe they'll be entertaining." "Get them and bring them to me send Spiral." Back on Earth Spider-Man and Giant-Girl were just getting to Hank's lab. Giant-Girl played with Kitty as Spider-Man gave Doctor Pym the serum he needed. "Yes this will be fantastic," said Dr Pym. "I can create a shrinking serum that'll help Kitty." "That's great but I was thinking. I remember Kitty's mother saying how miserable she was when she was normal size. But at this size she seems happy." "I know but the health worries are too much." "Well you could ask her if she wants to be cured." "Ok but i think it's best that Janet asks her. I think she'd listen more to her." "I think you're right." Spider-Man then went over to Giant-Girl. She whispered something in her ear. She then looked up at the giant sized Kitty. "Eh Kitty there's something I want to ask you," said Giant-Girl. "Yes," replied Kitty. "Dr Pym has something that can help you lead a normal life. You could be the size of everyone else." "I could?" "Yes like you were before." "What was I like before?" "Well you were my size now." "Ok I..." "Are you sure about that?" replied Janet. "Yeah I'm sure. I can remember a little when I was small. I wasn't happy and I cried a lot. But when I'm big I'm happy I ant to help people like you." "And you will Kitty. I'll help you realise that dream." "Can I go home please I miss my Mommy?" "Ok I'll take you home." A little later at Kitty's house. Theresa saw Giant-Girl at Maximum size carrying her daughter back to her. Spider-Man was with them and she was happy to see them back. But she was a little worried about Kitty still being big. "I thought you were going to cure her," said Theresa. "We were," replied Giant-Girl. She then put Kitty on the ground and she shrank to a more manageable height. "But your daughter decided to stay big. I think it's for the best." "You're right. She was always miserable normal. But at this size she's never been happier." "Well Kitty wants to become a hero. So here's what I'll do. Every fortnight I'll come here and give her a little training." "I think she'd like that a lot. You've done a lot for her and we've given you nothing in return." "It was nothing." "Please let me. It's Kitty's Bar Mitzvah next month and we really want you and Spider-Man to come." "We'd be honoured to come." "Thank you very much." "Anyway me and Spidey have to go but I'll see you here this time in a fortnight." Before they left Giant-Girl grew to 60 feet and gave her number 1 fan a hug. Then Spider-Man landed on her shoulder and they walked away. Eventually they got to the car park where Janet had left her car before. It was still there so she shrunk back down to normal and she got inside. Spider-Man did the same but they both changed into their casual clothes and they drove off. Firstly Peter was dropped off at his Aunt's house and then she drove off. She went back to her own mansion and she was greeted by Harold the Butler. He informed her that her father wanted to see her. She went to him in his office. "You wanted to see me Dad?" asked Janet. "Yes Princess," replied her Father. "I'm arranging a charity party." "What's the cause?" "It's for rainforests in Brazil and the rest of the world." "Great they need a little extra support." "And I'm sending out invitations to friends and work colleagues. I'm giving you one to give to your friend Peter." "Thanks daddy." She was given an invitation and it said that he was allowed to bring a companion. She knew who peter would bring. A week past and the charity party started. Janet wore a beautiful dress that her grandmother had given her before she past away. She was roughly the same size as Janet so it fit well. Janet stood there waiting for Peter. He saw him come in his car and he had Mary Jane with him. She was happy to have him here and she greeted them when they came in. "Peter MJ," she said. "I'm so happy to see you came." "We wouldn't miss this for the World," replied Peter. "Have a drink," said Janet. The couple then picks up a glass of champagne from one of the butlers. They also made a donation like the other guests at the party. But the main thing was that people here were interested in buying shares in the company. With the results of Janet's powers others wanted to use it as a weapon for the US. But Dr Pym would refuse and said that it was only for her. About an hour later and the party was in full swing. But then there seemed to be a lightning show inside the mansion. Peter and Mary Jane clapped their hands and congratulated Janet. "Wow that almost looks real," said Peter. "That's not part of the party," replied Janet. "That's real." Just then a woman with six arms appeared out of almost nowhere. She had close range weapons in most of her hands. These included a sword and an axe. She had white hair even though she looked young. People began to panic and they ran for the exits. Peter and Janet went somewhere to get changed and they returned as the infamous duo of Spider-Man and Giant-Girl. When the woman saw the pair she smiled and went towards them. She began to rotate her arms. "Hey this is a charity party and you have to make a donation," said Spider-Man as he attempted to do a web-slinging kick. But the woman just side stepped him and cut the web. "Hey you can't do that to Spidey," replied Giant-Girl. "But you really need to get out of my house." She grew to colossal size grabbed the Woman but she just stabbed her in the hand. Then she threw a gas bomb in Giant-Girl's face. She then fell unconscious and she did the same to Spider-Man. Mary Jane was in hiding and she saw what was happening. She saw the woman do a dance and she, Spider-Man and Giant-Girl all disappeared. Peter," whispered Mary Jane. When Spider-Man and Giant-Girl woke up they were in some sort of cell. Giant-Girl tried to grow her way out but her suit wasn't responding. She was stuck at normal size. Spider-Man didn't have the strength to break out of his. The bars were made of a strong metal that even he couldn't break. But eventually Major Domo came in with a few guards. They picked up the cages if they were weightless and they were taken to Mojo. The Woman was also there and Minor Domo. "Here are your new Entertainers your sliminess," said Major Domo. "Brilliant Spiral did well," replied Mojo. "Release us now!" demanded Giant-Girl. "Or else I'll grow and stomp you." "You won't be doing any growth unless I say I want it." "Who are you anyway?" asked Spider-Man. "I am Mojo and I'm offering you a lifetime contract to work for me?" "What as henchmen?" "No Entertainers. You see my audience are a blood thirsty lot. They want to see action and violence." He then began to pretend to shoot a gun. He did the sound effects and everything. "What if we refuse?" "Then you're cancelled permanently." "We're not working for you you over grown bag of fat!" shouted Giant-Girl. "No need for language like that this is a children's program. I've even given you a few upgrades." "What kind of upgrades?" asked Spider-Man.? "Well they're both for your benefits," replied Mojo. "The old yous wouldn't stand a chance here. But now you can die in a more exciting way. MAJOR DOMO!" "Yes Lord Mojo," said Major Domo. "Show the everybody what their little enhancements are." "As you wish." Major Domo then got out Spider-Man's web shooters. He then showed everyone a where the web fluid was stored. "As you can see we've added we've been able to fit a special web fluid that's stronger, lasts longer and has an unlimited supply." "Thank you I guess," replied Spider-Man. "And for the lovely Giant-Girl we've also made a few enhancements to her suit." He then got a device out of his pocket. He started to turn the dial to the left. This was making Giant-Girl shrink. "Hey stop that," replied Giant-Girl. She was shrinking faster then she had ever done before. "I mean it in a few seconds they'll be nothing left of me." But by the time she had said that she was out of sight." "As you can see we've increased the range of Giant-Girl's size changing powers. Now she can literally become any size she wants ranging from sub atomic to universe size." "Bring her back," said Mojo. "The cameras can't see her." "As you wish." He then turned the dial to the right and Giant-Girl soon grew to her normal size. " "Thank God," said Giant-Girl. "I was nearly eaten by germs." "I would demonstrate how much bigger she can become but unfortunately we don't have enough room." "Brilliant Domo get the contracts and we can get this show on the road," said Mojo. "Wait we're not signing anything for you," said Spider-Man. "I expected as much. Spiral gets me the other humans." "Yes Mojo," replied Spiral. She then did a dance and she disappeared. She reappeared a few seconds later with Aunt May and Hank Pym. "May," said Spider-Man. "Hank," replied Giant-Girl. "If you don't sign the contract then their heads will roll. But if you do then they will be free." "Ok we'll sign the contracts," replied Spider-Man. The two contracts appeared in front of the two heroes. They both reluctantly signed them. This put a smile on Mojo's face. "Spiral take them back," said Mojo. "Now our prize performers want to start their new lives. I can see the first episodes now. The Amazing Spider-Man gets caught in a giant Spider web. He must fight to stop being food to a giant Black Widow and as an added bonus he must save his darling Aunt May." "You creep," said Spider-Man. "The Beautiful Giant-Girl. She has to use her size changing powers to the max to save Doctor Hank Pym. She has to find the clues and they can be anywhere. They could be on an atom or on the side of a mountain." "When I get free I going to crush you like the stinking cockroach you are," replied Giant-Girl Angrily. "Send them away." Spider-Man and Giant-Girl disappeared out of their cages like magic. They went through some kind of wormhole and they came out at different points. They were almost an infinity away from each other. Spider-Man landed on a giant web. It was sticky and he looked up and saw his Aunt May wrapped in web fluid. She was screaming for help and he couldn't just stay and watch. "Help me please," said Aunt May. "Don't worry I'll save you," replied Spider-Man. He then began to climb the web but he was making it vibrate and then he saw a Black Widow Spider coming towards him. He looked up in some fear. "Not the Black Widow I wanted to see." He then tried to crawl away but the Black Widow had a size advantage over him and it was catching up. "You're fast but I can be faster." Spider-Man then shot some of his webbing at the Black Widow's eyes. This temporarily blinded the creature and he crawled away as fast as he could. But was still a little too slow. "Don't worry citizen I'm coming," said Spider-Man. He crawled towards Aunt May and he tried to grab her but his hand went right through her. He tried it again and the same results. She was nothing more then a hologram. "A hologram," said Spider-Man. He quickly turned angry. "Damn you Mojo! Where's my aunt May?" "Temper temper," replied Mojo from his control room. "Anger gets you nowhere except into trouble. Talking about trouble my little friend will soon sort you out and make your life meaningless." The Black Widow came towards Spider-Man. The webbing had disappeared from its eyes. It came towards Spider-Man but he had nowhere to go. All he could do was stand his ground. "You have picked the wrong day to get onto my bad side," said Spider-Man. "Now do yourself a favour and get out of my way." But the Black Widow tried to grab him with one of its legs but Spider-Man simply jumped out of the way. He then punched it in the face. This caused it some pain. It cried out a little. "Not so tough now." But the Black Widow surprised him by shooting him with some strong web. Even with Spider-Man's super strength it would take him about a minute to get himself free. "What I would give to have a 50 foot Janet here right now," he thought. But he had to roll away from attacks. He was making his constraints weaker. But he still needed time. Eventually he broke out but a huge leg hit him and he went flying. He was able to keep his balance a little and he landed on his feet. But he was getting a little tired. He needed to beat this Black Widow fast before he became spider food. He could imagine what it was going to do to him. But he saw an opportunity and he punched the Black Widow. This knocked it out cold and he felt victory inside him. "Spider-Man 1 Mojo 0." But just then the web disintegrated and Spider-Man was sent flying down. There didn't seem to be anything to stick onto. Meanwhile a long way away Giant-Girl landed on what seemed to be a huge leaf. It broke her fall and she landed softly on the ground. She looked around and everything was huge. She still tried grow to at least her normal size but it would work. "Welcome to the grass lands Giant-Girl," said Mojo. "Except nowadays you're not that much of a giant." "I'm only playing your sick game so I can save Hank," replied Janet. "But when I find him you're going to wish you left us on Earth." "Watch your tongue or I can shrink you into oblivion. Do you have anymore complaints?" Janet just stood there in silence. "No I don't." "Good now the first clue to Hank's whereabouts is in that hill over there." "Where?" "To your right." She then looked right. "No your other right stupid human." Jan then saw the hill. It was quite large to her. But when you're the size of an insect it looked huge. "That thing?" "Yes in there but there's a time limit. If you don't find a clue in 10 minutes Hank will be going o a warm location. Into the centre of a star." "You jerk." "One more comment and you'll lose." "Ok ok I'm going." Janet then ran to the hill. There was a small hole in the side and she went through it. Thankfully she had a torch on her belt and it lit the way for her. But she seemed to be in some sort of tunnel. She walked trough it and she didn't know where to look for the clue. "Ok Jan think where would he put a clue?" she thought. "Knowing him probably right in the centre." She then began to walk towards the centre of the hill. But this would take her a while. But then she began to hear something. She looked around and saw nothing. She was a little more careful and she wished that she could still grow. "Ok this place is creeping me out. But I can't leave without the clue." Then she saw something move in the corner of her eye. She turned around and was amazed to see that it was a giant ant. "An ant but it's like twice my size. How small did that jerk make me?" But then she realised something. "This is an ant hill. That means there could be thousands of these things in here." She began to run away from the ant. She took every direction she could see. But it was obvious that she was getting lost in the tunnels. But she ran into another ant. "Another one." She turned around and ran. Thankfully she was a fit person. If not she would of collapsed of exhaustion by now. But eventually she ran into a line of ants. She was scared because at this size an ant could easily harm her. She was nowhere near their strength since ants are the strongest animals in comparison to their size. She just prayed that she would get out of here alive. But then she was caught in the Guillotines of a certain ant. She tried to break the grip but she didn't have the strength. "Hey get off of me!" she demanded. But her demanded had been ignored. The ant just walked away. It wasn't hurting her it was just taking her somewhere. It walked for several minutes until it reached a large chamber. There was an ant that was a lot bigger then the others. It was obvious that it was the Queen. "I'm so dead." Meanwhile with Spider-Man he was in some sort of dark place. He could barely see where he was going. Luckily like Giant-Girl he had a light on his belt that lit he way. The ground was soft and it seemed to be a cave. Except the only way that he could get out was to climb up. "This is suppose to be a challenge?" thought Spider-Man. "Please this would be so much harder if I couldn't stick to walls." He then clinged onto the wall and began to climb up it. But then he heard a huge roar. At first he thought that it was his stomach. But when it happened again he knew that it wasn't his stomach. "Ok it's either I'm really hungry. Or something really big wants to eat me." Then he saw a great hairy beast come out of the darkness. He went to climb fast but the beast stretched its arm like it was Mr. Fantastic. It grabbed him and brought him back down. "Looks like I can't get out of here until I've beaten you. This is going to be a challenge." Meanwhile in his headquarters Mojo was watching what was happening to the two heroes. He was also looking at the ratings. They were getting higher by the second and it was making him happy. "I've never had ratings like this in a long time," said Mojo. "These earthlings are going to make me rich." "I trust they will Mojo," replied Major Domo. "I was just thinking if they die now then I lose my ratings." "Then you want to give them some extra help?" "Only if they need it. If we helped them then it becomes BORING!" "I guess you're right." "Make sure there are plenty of cameras I don't want to miss a second of the action." "As you wish." "Back with Spider-man he was trying every trick he knew to get away from this beast. But it seemed to be invincible. He tried everything. "Ok this isn't working maybe I should try a new approach," said Spider-Man. "Hey Butt ugly. I bet you can't catch me." Spider-Man then ran away and the beast followed. He used his web shoots to keep ahead of the beast. But it was a lot faster then he expected. He breathed heavily. "Not exactly your brightest idea Peter." But eventually he came to a wall. He didn't know where else to go except up. He jumped up just as the beast was about to hit him. It hit the wall instead and it fell unconscious. "Ha that's what you get with messing with your Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man." He then began to climb out of the cave. There were a lot of sharp rocks that went into his hand causing him some pain. But he tried to ignore it and he went on as best as he could. "Remind me to get reinforced gloves when all this is over." Eventually he reached the top of the cave and he climbed out of the exit. But he found himself in some winter wonderland. It was cold and he began to shiver a little. His costume did make him a little warmer but it couldn't handle these kinds of temperatures. "Its tooo cooold heeere," said Spider-Man as he shivered. "What I would give for a nice mug of Coco right now." Spider-Man then heard a howling noise. It seemed to be coming from all of the place. Meanwhile in the Anthill Giant-Girl had been brought to the Ant Queen. She was panicking a little but she hoped to sue what brains she had to get out of her little predicament. But without the power to grow her chances weren't looking too good. She just looked at the Queen Ant. "Ok this is not how I pictured my end," said Giant-Girl. "But maybe yours if you're not careful." Then she saw the large jaws of the Queen. She had terrible breath and Giant-Girl blocked her nose. "I'm taking that you've never heard of breath mints." But before the Queen could eat her she rolled out of the way. Some of the other ants tried to get to her but she was able to run from them. She could tell that the Queen was signaling them to chase after her. But she just hoped that she would get away in time. But what the tiny superheroine didn't know was that she was running around in circles and the ants were closing in on her. She thought that she was doomed until she found something on the wall. It looked like some sort of lettering. She figured that it was the clue she had been looking for. It read there are more of these creatures then the entire animal kingdom put together and they're simple. "That's easy microbes," said Giant-Girl. She then realised what was about to happen next. "Microbes!" She then felt herself rapidly shrink again. She knew that she was going to shrink to a microscopic size this time. She watched as the ants became skyscraper size and she dwindled even smaller until she couldn't see them anymore. She looked down and saw tiny microbes. She seemingly stopped shrinking. "Well done Giant-Girl you found the first clue," said Mojo. "Now for the second. I want you to kill one million microbes." "That's easy," replied Giant-Girl. "Good make it a good show or else the Good Doctor Pym gets it." Giant-Girl then began to stomp on the microbes. But she was shrinking again. But this time it was slower. "Oh yeah I forgot to mention you'll be shrinking as you o along. The more you stomp the smaller you get." "Hey that isn't fair." "Maybe not but it gets some good entertainment." Giant-Girl continued to stomp on the microbes. But the more she stomped the smaller she got. She knew that it would only be a matter of time before they would become gigantic to her. "This is just great I'm making myself weaker with every stomp. But to save Hank I must keep going." When she was half way there the microbes were up to her ankles and the were getting bigger all the time. She was hoping that she would kill enough of them in time. To make it quicker she would jump up and land her entire body onto the microbes. But this killed almost all the ones she needed. But this also made her shrink really fast. She went down like a ton of bricks and she watched as the microbes became her size and then bigger. She was scared when she became doll sized to them. She was hoping that she would be killed quickly. But the thought of Hank spurred her on. She got up and stared at them. "Try and get me!" shouted Giant-Girl. Meanwhile back with Spider-Man he was still looking around to see where this sound had come from. He was still unsure ad he began to panic a little. He got himself ready for a fight. "Who's there?" he shouted. "Ok ladies and gentlemen," said Mojo through a microphone. "Our new raising star the Amazing Spider-Man is now in the Chill of Doom. Staring such favourites as The Annihilator and Cerberus. Can he survive? I don't think so!" Just then two muscle warriors appeared. They where armed to the teeth with different weapons and they were fixated on Spider-Man. he looked around and he didn't see much way out of it. Out of instinct Spider-Man webbed them both up from top to bottom. The freezing cold weather the webbing froze up almost instantly. "Now that wasn't too hard," said Spider-Man. Then both warriors broke out of the webbing easily. "Me and my big mouth." They started to charge at him. "I would kill for Jan to be here right now to save my butt." But when they got close enough Spider-Man jumped out of the way and they collided. At first he thought that it would do it. But they simply shrugged off the impact. "This is going to be a lot more difficult then I expected." But Spider-man was at a disadvantage. There was nothing to cling onto and then Annihilator and Cerberus seemed to be in their element. "I'll have to rely on all of my powers to get out of this one." He then went towards one of them and tried to punch them. But even his strength did seem to do any damage. "Is that all you've got?" asked Cerberus. "No not really," replied Spider-Man. "I normally have a partner who could stomp you to kingdom come. But unfortunately she's not here right now." "Stop babbling and die." He then raised his hammer and Spider-Man was just able to dodge out of the way. The image of the blow caused the ground beneath all three of them to crack. The cracks got bigger and bigger. "I'm so out of here," said Spider-man. He then quickly ran as fast as he could. He was being chased but then the ground collapsed and the two warriors fell down. "Happy landings." He then started to try and get himself warm. His costume did give him some warmth but if he didn't get out of here soon he would soon freeze to death. He looked around for anything that could help him. "I'm going to die if I don't get out of here. But where can I go there's nothing here." "You want to go somewhere warmer?" asked Mojo through his microphone. "Yes I'm going to die here." "Well get yourself ready for a desert." "What wait?" But before Spider-Man could react he was sent to a desert. Now instead of it being too cold it was way too hot for him. He didn't want to fight anymore but to save his Aunt May he had no choice. "What's next then? A giant spider, a yeti or warriors?" asked Spider-Man "How about a pilot?" replied Mojo. "A what?" "A good old pilot." Then a huge ship appeared. Spider-Man just looked at it. Meanwhile in a world only visible by looking through a microscope Giant-Girl was dodging giant sized germs. But she had to beat one of them before getting the next clue. But she didn't know how she was going to do it. She was out numbered by a billion to one. "Great things just keep looking better for me," said Giant-Girl. "I don't think they an even call me Giant-Girl anymore. More like Micro-Girl." But then she saw that one of the germs was about to attack her. She went to run but there was another one right in front of her. She thought that she was going to be killed. But then she dodged out of the way and the germs went into each other. The force killed them both and Giant-Girl jumped in celebration. "Yes I did it," said Giant-Girl. "But where's that clue?" She then saw other microbes coming closer to her. But they seemed to hit an invisible force field. She sighed in relief. But then she saw a riddle come onto the wall of the force field. It said What runs but doesn't walk which has a mouth that never talks? She recognised this one. "Hey I know that one. it's a river." "Very good Giant-Girl," replied Mojo. "But all that was a little boooooooooooring. If you don't make the next one more interesting I'll cancel you permanently." "Ok but how am I going to get to a river?" "Easy think big." Then Giant-Girl felt herself begin to grow. The microbes were definitely getting smaller around her. She was happy to see that she wasn't shrinking again. But after a minute she couldn't see the germs anymore but she could see colossal sized ants. But they were getting smaller and smaller compared to her. But her head hit the ceiling. "Looks like you're going to need a new ant hill." By then she had broke through and she went up to the surface. She reached her normal height and then she went beyond. She saw everything continue to shrink around her. But she stopped at 60 feet tall. "Back to my big ways. But now where is the river?" "Just follow the Yellow Brick road," said a tiny voice. "Who said that?" "I did." "I can't see you." "That's because I'm in your ear." "Makes sense. But where is this road? Is it like in the Wizard of Oz?" "No that's what I'm doing. Right to your ear drum." "What? But before she could react she felt a sharp pain in her ear. She squatted down and tried to get her little visitor out. "Get out of there!" she demanded. "No." Her visitor kept banging on the ear drum and it was causing Giant-Girl extreme pain. This was one of the few times where Giant-Girl's colossal size was actually a disadvantage. But she knew that if it went on any longer her ear drum would burst and she would be deaf in that ear. "Right you're coming out whether you want to or not," said Giant-Girl. She then tilted her head to one side. "What are you doing?" asked the Visitor. In the desert the ship was high above Spider-Man. it was basically armed to the teeth with high tech weapons. It seemed to be invincible and Spider-Man didn't really stand much of a chance. "I really should have stayed home today," said Spider-Man. He was then fired on but his spider reflexes meant that he was able to dodge the bullets. But he had to do something fast. "If I keep this up any longer I'll be dead." He was able to shoot a web at the ship. He planned to climb up it to get to the inside. That's the only way he could survive. He climbed up the ropes but when he touched the metal it was very hot due to the blazing hot sun of the desert. He burned his hands a little but something inside him made him go on. Spider-Man tried to look a hatch to get inside. But then his spider sense began to go crazy. He took a look and he saw a machine gun begin to fire at him. He began to jump out of the way. But they were following his every move. He had to get inside and fast. Just then he put his foot on something and it feel through. He looked down and it was the hatch that he had been looking for. He quickly jumped into it and landed on the ground. He gave out a sigh of fresh air. "Well since I'm here I might as well get some pictures for JJ," he said. He got his camera out and began to take a few photos. He then saw what seemed to be a cannon. It pointed at him. "Is there anything on this ship that doesn't want to kill me?" It then fired at him. He was able to jump out of the way. But because he was in a corridor he had very limited options. All he could do was try and run down. But he saw an air duct not too far from him. He opened it and got inside. He figured that it wouldn't be armed. Meanwhile in the control room the pilot was at the controls. He was looking on the screen and he couldn't see Spider-Man anywhere. At first he thought that he was dead. But just then Mojo came onto the communicator. He wasn't too happy with what he was seeing. "What have you done?" asked Mojo. "I have killed Spider-man just like you wanted," replied the Pilot. "I'll kill you. You could have made him die in a more entertaining way. I'm beginning to lose ratings." "Wait a minute." He began to look through the screens. He could see Spider-man getting into the Air ducts. "He's still alive." "Good make him die in an entertaining way." "What way did you have in mind?" "I don't know make his body explode or something like that." "It will be done." "One more thing. If you fail then you'll die in a very entertaining way. I'm going to get the death whether it's his death or yours." "Yes sir." Spider-man was crawling through the air ducts. He now knew what if felt like to be a mole in a tunnel. He couldn't see that well in the darkness. But he had to get to the Pilot and get control of the ship. With his Aunt May's life on the line he wouldn't take any chances. But he eventually got to the control room. He saw the pilot and he was already armed to fight Spider-Man. "You die Spider freak," he said. Meanwhile Giant-Girl was getting rid of her little visitor. It seemed to be working as well. The tiny little visitor inside Giant-Girl's ear fell out onto her hand. She put the visitor on the tip of her finger but it looked like a spec to her. She had to get up really close just to see it. "You're not so tough now are you," said Giant-Girl. "You've won this round you over grown freak," replied the Visitor. "What was that? I couldn't quite hear you." "Mojo will have his way and it means your end." "That feels so scary coming from someone like you." Just then the visitor disappeared from Giant-Girl's finger tip. She still smiled. She was glad to see it go but she still had some pain in her ear. But it would probably go in a few minutes. "That's him out of the way. Now where's that river." She began to look around but she couldn't see one. "Ok this is going to be harder then I thought. If there was only some kind of map." But before she could think of anything she felt her ride leg begin to sink within the ground. She tried to pull it out but it wasn't working. Eventually her other leg started to sink as well. "What's happening to me now?" she thought. She tried to pull her legs out of the ground but she couldn't. She seemed to be sinking even faster. Eventually her hips were all under the ground and she was still sinking. She tried to pull herself out but this ground wouldn't let her. In fact her hands began to sink also. A minute later Giant-Girl had sunk fully. She was sinking through the ground and she couldn't breathe. She used all of her strength but it still wouldn't work. No matter how hard she tried. But eventually she fell into an under ground cavern. She fell hard onto her back but she was able to get up. But her head hit the ceiling. It was only 20 feet high and she was still 60 feet tall. "Great I was too small to help myself now I'm too big," said Giant-Girl. "Can things get any worse for me?" Just then she started to hear rushing water. She knew what was coming. "Me and my big mouth." She was then washed away by a huge tidal wave. She hoped that her size would give her some resistance but if anything it made her go faster. Again she couldn't breathe in the water and she gasped for air. There were even fish in the water and she accidentally swallowed a big one. But eventually she washed up somewhere where she had never been before. It looked like a wide open sea and she stood up and tried to dry herself off. "I don't think Mojo realises how hard it is to get clothes that grow with me," said Giant-Girl to herself. "I wonder how Spidey's getting on. He's probably fine he can take care of himself. But I wouldn't mind having him here right now. He'd be a big asset." Giant-Girl then walked out of the ocean and she started to dry her hair off a little. She still wasn't too happy with what had just happened. But she would have to live with it for now. She'd get Mojo for this later. But then she noticed something not too far away from hr. She looked at it a little and she soon realised what it was. "It's a river," said Giant-Girl. "Oh my God I've finally found it. Now to get the next clue and probably change size." She started to go towards the river. She hoped that this time it wouldn't be dangerous. "I don't want to fight you," said Spider-Man. "Funny because I want to fight you!" replied the Pilot. "Well if you're going to be like that I'm taking you off my Christmas card list." Then shot the pilot in his eyes with the webbing. The Pilot was able to rip it off of his eyes. But by then he had a flying kick from Spider-Man. This sent him flying. This would have knocked any normal person unconscious. But this guy wasn't a normal person. He just got himself back up and he started to fire at Spider-Man. "Is that the best you've got web freak," said the Pilot. "I was expecting more of a challenge." "Hey don't count me out just yet. You'll hurt my feelings." Spider-Man was dodging all of the bullets. This was one of the many times he was thankful that he was Spider-Man. But his immediate worry was his aunt. He anted to find her and Giant-Girl as quickly as possible. Spider-Man was able to get close to the pilot and he started to hit him like a punching bag. Even he couldn't withstand this and the Pilot fell unconscious on the ground. Spider-Man even took a picture. "I think you should find your happy place and stay there." He then took the pilot to one of the escape pods and he blasted him out of the ship. He then returned to the controls. But he didn't understand any of it. "How the heck do you fly this thing?" Meanwhile in Mojo's lair he was watching everything that happened to the heroes. He was happy and unhappy. His ratings were off the charts. But he was unhappy that his men weren't doing the job. "Major Domo!" shouted Mojo. Eventually Major Domo came in. "You wanted me sir?" asked Major Domo. "Why aren't my men killing them?" "Well maybe you need to send someone more efficient. Why would you want to kill them anyway? They're making you a fortune in ratings and merchandise." "That's not the point. No one makes me look like a fool. Wait I know who exactly to send." "Who?" "That's a surprise but for now get me something to drink." "Ill get Minor Domo on it right away." "Make sure it's high in fat." "As always." Back on the ship Spider-Man was trying to remember some oft he games he went on. The controls seemed to be similar to a game controller. He found out that he could actually fly the ship. "Thank you countless hours of game playing," said Spider-Man. He then figured something out He hadn't tried to contact Giant-Girl with their communicators. But when he tried all he picked up was static. "Ok now where is Aunt May? He's probably keeping him close to her. So that means I've gotta find his HQ. But where is that? He keeps sending me to different places." Just then he felt that the ship go down. He tried to bring it back up. But he couldn't do it. He took a look and he saw that he didn't have any fuel. "Remind me to check y gas before I take off." He then went to one of the escape pods and he launched away from the ship. It exploded on impact with the ground. But the escape pod was safe and it landed hard on the ground. Spider-Man took a nasty knock to the head and he was out for the count. A long way away Giant-Girl was following the river. But she couldn't see any clue. She was starting to get a little tired as well. But then she began to see some words on the ground. it read What do you call a sheep with no legs and no head. She thought to herself a little. "That's a cloud," said Giant-Girl. She then felt a shiver down her spine. "Here I go again." She then felt her body explode with growth. She shot up to heights that she only dreamt of reaching. She was getting higher and higher by the second. The ground was getting further away. Her head even went through a few clouds up along the way. She couldn't believe how big she was becoming. She was becoming even bigger then a mountain and she still grew. Giant-Girl stopped growing at a colossal 60,000 feet. She could barely see the ground below her. She panicked a little. "Oh my God I'm huge," said Giant-Girl. "But how is this possible. I shouldn't even be able to breath at this height." She then began to think for a moment. "Wait I'm not on earth. Maybe things woke differently on this weird world." She went to take a step but this caused a huge Earthquake. She stopped then and she looked around a little. Several of the nearby forests had fallen down. "Oops. At this size I can't even move without causing some sort of disaster." She then stood there for a moment. "How am i going to find the next clue and save Hank if I can't move." "That's easy," said Mojo. "Not you again. First you make me way too small now you've made me way too big." "All the fun of the game. I had my lackeys find the highest mountain on your planet and we just doubled it." "What you've made me twice as big as Mount Everest?" "If that's what it's called then yes we have." "But how am I going to find the next clue if I can't move without causing some kind of disaster?" "Well just look around my dear. It shouldn't be too far away." Giant-Girl then began to loom around. She then saw something forming in the sky. The clouds seemed to be forming something. It was obviously the next clue. She could still read it. "What did Lord Mojo eat last year," said Giant-Girl. This was what the message had said. "What how can I answer that?" "Come on have a guess." "I don't know. Toast?" "Err that's the wrong answer. And now you'll pay the price." "Don't you dare harm hank." "He doesn't have to worry about anything. It's you who has to worry." Just then she felt something sting in her neck. But then she felt a strange feeling throughout her body. She looked down at her feet and they were turning into stone. She couldn't move them. But her entire body was turning to stone. "You're bigger then a mountain. But now you're becoming one." "Help me!" But it was too late. Within seconds Giant-Girl had completely turned into stone. She was like an 11 mile tall statue. She looked surprised and she held her arms out. But now she would be there for all eternity without the help of everyone's friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man. A long way away Spider-Man was just coming to. He couldn't see straight and he was slowly sitting up. "And they said that TV was bad for you," he said. He rubbed his head. He was in some pain. "You don't know how right you are," replied a Male Voice. Spider-Man came around and he saw a man sitting on a chair near him. The man had long blond hair and he was wearing a dark blue one piece costume. There was also a star on it. But Spider-man noticed something strange about him. He only had three fingers and a thumb on each hand. "What where am I?" said Spider-Man. "Don't worry my friend you're safe," replied the Man. "You're in the Rebel camp." "W-who are you?" "My name is Longshot their leader." "Who exactly are you rebelling against?" "Mojo of course. Like you he's put us through death match after death match for his sick entertainment." "Is Giant-Girl here?" Longshot thought for a moment. "Who is this Giant-Girl you speak of?" "She's my friend that Mojo also kidnapped her to play in these so called games. I just hope she's alright." "Your friend will be in serious danger. But I ask you why did you agree to do what he said? You had a choice like all of us?" "He has my aunt May and he threatened to hurt me if I didn't go through with this." "Mojo has done similar tricks to all of us. I believe you've met Spiral." "Who?" "The looker with white hair and six arms." "Yeah she brought me here." "Well in a time not too long ago she was my lover. We were the perfect match in everyway. But the Mojo took her away and transformed her into that monster." "What was her name before then?" "Ricochet Rita. Now I must ask you a question. Will you join us in our fight against Mojo?" Spider-Man thought about it for a while. "Yes will but I need three things from you." "What are they?" "I need you to help me find my Aunt May, Dr. Hank Pym and Giant-Girl." "Very well I do believe we have a deal." Both of the shook hands and Spider-Man slowly got out of the bed and up onto his feet. He left the tent that he was in and he saw the outside. There were at least a hundred rebels in all different shapes and sizes. He even saw one with the head of a male ram. "So this is your army?" asked Spider-Man. "Yes this is everything we have," replied Longshot. "But it isn't enough. We don't have enough forces to attack Mojo directly." "But I know someone who can help us in a big way. Remember when I told you about my friend Giant-Girl?" "Yes of course." "Well if we had her she would be a huge asset to us. She has the power to change her size and with her I think we stand a chance." "Ok we shall find your friend." "Thanks Longshot." "Well there's some good equipment for locating your friend in our other rebel base," said Longshot. "Where's that?" replied Spider-Man. "About 1000 miles away." "Well I am keen on fitness and all that but I don't think even I can't walk that far. Even with my spider powers." "Don't worry my friend. We have our own transport." "You gave me a scare there." Longshot then took Spider-Man to one of his ships. It was a small four person ship. IT seemed to be ideal for getting to one place to another in a hurry. But it wasn't ideal to use it as a weapon against Mojo. "Wow this looks like something out of a Science Fiction movie," said Spider-Man. "What is this science fiction you talk about?" replied Longshot. "Never-mind." The pair the got into the ship. Longshot was on the controls and he lifted the ship ff the ground. He then began to fly the ship at fantastic speed. It was like being in a bullet train. Spider-Man looked down and saw all of the ground beneath him. But then suddenly a solid stone wall appeared in front of them. Longshot didn't see any way around it so he pulled up. This sent them both into the back of their seats. It was like being in a rocket going into space. "You have random brick walls here?" asked Spider-Man. "No this isn't suppose to be here," replied Longshot. "I've been here a hundred times and it's the first time it's been here." "Did Mojo make it?" "Mojo couldn't have built a wall this size in such a short time." Spider-Man looked up and he began to recognise something about this. He started to see some features on the wall that Longshot hadn't noticed. Spider-Man then looked at him. "Wait this isn't a wall," said Spider-Man. "If it isn't a wall then what is it?" replied Longshot. "It's my friend Giant-Girl." "What?" "This looks exactly like Giant-Girl girl except big and made out of stone." "Could she get to this size?" "No 200 foot is her limit. She couldn't get anywhere near this size." "Possibly something done by Mojo to make things more interesting. She must have lost and he turned her into stone. He's done that to a few people I know." "Can you land on her hand?" "Yeah just give me a minute." Longshot then flew the ship up onto Giant-Girl's hand. He landed on her finger tip and they looked no bigger then a spec to her. They got out of the ship and they both marveled at her size. "Mount Everest has nothing compared to her," said Spider-Man. "What's Everest?" replied Longshot. "A very high mountain in our world." "She's very beautiful isn't she?" "Yeah she is but do you have anything that'll turn her back to normal?" "Well I do carry the cure to this in case this happened to any of the rebels." "Will it work on her?" "Yes but it'll have to be a large dose." He then got the cure from one of his pockets and poured it onto her finger. "Will this work?" asked Spider-Man. "I hope it does," replied Longshot. Just then the stone around Giant-Girl's finger disappeared and it started to disappear around her body. In a matter of seconds her face was back to normal. In fact her entire upper body was back to normal. But from the waist down she was still stone. But there was another problem. Giant-Girl was so big that she couldn't see or hear Spider-Man and Longshot on her finger tip. She began to move quite a lot. "What's wrong with her?" asked Longshot. "Can't she see us?" "No she can't," replied Spider-Man. "Get to the ship before we either fall or get crushed into tiny pieces." The pair then got back into the ship and they took off. Giant-Girl was still coming around a little. She was cracking her neck. "Why does my neck feel so stiff?" asked Giant-Girl. The sound of her voice was deafening. She didn't know that Spider-Man and Longshot weren't too far away from her. "How do we contact her?" asked Longshot. "Go into her ear," replied Spider-man. "It's our only chance." Longshot then flew the ship into Giant-Girl's left ear. She still had no idea that they were even there. He flew the ship right next to her ear drum. He landed the ship and they got out. "Giant-Girl," said Spider-Man. He waited a few seconds for a reply. "Spidey?" replied Giant-Girl. Even here it was deafening. He felt like his own ear drums were about to pop. "Giant-Girl don't talk like that. Please whisper." "Ok." She was now whispering. "Where are you?" "I'm in your ear." "I'm not really comfortable with you in there. The last guy did a lot of damage in there." "Don't worry about that. I have someone who wants to help us defeat Mojo and get back Aunt May and Hank." "Great where is he?" "He's in here with me. His name is Longshot." "Hello Giant-Girl," said Longshot. "Hello Longshot," whispered Giant-Girl. "You were a complete stone statue. I gave you a cure but not enough for a being of your stature." "Yeah my legs are still stone." "Here's what I'll do. I'll go back to the rebel camp and get another bottle for you." "Thanks that would be a big help." "Can you shrink?" "No Mojo's in control of my suit. I can't change size unless he does it for me." "That's going to be a problem. Spider-Man will stay here with you." "Ok." Longshot then got into the ship and he flew away. Spider-Man stayed with her and they talked for a little. He told her about fighting giant spiders and mighty warriors. She told him about the ants, microbes and invader she had to deal with. "Do you think I'm still being filmed?" whispered Giant-Girl. "I doubt it," replied Spider-Man. "He probably stopped when you turned into stone. No one like seeing a statue for too long." "I guess you're right." "Have I ever lied to you?" "Well there was that time when you told me that my butt didn't look big in my costume," said Giant-Girl. "That was a white lie," replied Spider-man. "Well you do have the biggest butt ever but I didn't want to say it." She then giggled a little. "It wasn't until I saw myself in the Bugle that I realised just how big it was. And it was you who took the picture." "Well if I went to Jonah empty handed he would have killed me." "Don't worry I'll get my revenge on you when I can actually see you." Just then Giant-Girl heard an engine sound. She didn't know what it was at first but then she heard Longshot's voice again. "Giant-Girl I have the rest of the cure for you," said Longshot. "Great I've had enough of standing around." "Ok now only move when I tell you too. Got it?" "Got it." He then got back into his ship and he flew to the bottom of Giant-Girl's foot. He then poured the rest of the cure onto it and he saw it turn back to normal along with her legs. He then flew up back to her ear. "Great job Longshot I can move my legs again," said Giant-Girl. "Now just take one step forward," replied Longshot. "Ok I'll try." She then took a single step forward. But this caused a huge earthquake. This made her stop. "I'm way too big. If I walk then I'll flatten everything." "Can you fly?" "I'm a giant but I don't have wings." "You could get yourself some." "Yeah right now that'll be as useful as being able to become tiny and growing wings." "Well the shrinking part is good." "I can't shrink until Mojo releases the controls on my suit." "There might be a problem," said Spider-Man. "What's that?" "Well if Mojo knew that you were going to attack him he could shrink you to the size of an atom if he wanted to." "You're right. That'll mean if I were to attack him it would have to be quick." "Jan see how far you can get to the camp before you it gets damaged." "Which way is it?" "I'm no sure I can't see from in here." "Why don't you show me? Go into your ship and fly there. I'll follow." "That's a great idea." "But how will she see us?" replied Spider-Man. "We can't be any bigger then a speck compared to her." "Then we'll just have to make ourselves a bright speck." A few minutes later we see the ship not too far away from Giant-Girl's huge blue eye. They had every light on and it lit them up. Longshot then began to fly away. Giant-Girl began to slowly follow him. She did still feel a little stiff after being a statue but she was getting the feeling back into her whole body. She couldn't see the damage that her short walk was doing. Many trees were being flattened but thankfully there was no loss of life. "How far is it?" asked Giant-Girl Meanwhile in his HQ Mojo watched Giant-Girl take every huge step. He was really mad that she had gotten free and now working with his nemesis Longshot. He was about to blow a fuse. "Why can't people leave things alone?" asked Mojo. "I make things that are beautiful and then people like Longshot have to go and ruin it. Major Domo!" A few seconds later Major Domo came into the room. He was accompanied by Minor Domo. "You called your bulginess?" replied Major Domo. "Yes Giant-Girl's been freed and now she's working for those damn rebels." "What do you ant me to do about it?" "I want you to make that bitch sub atomic. I want her to be so small that she can be squashed by an atom." "May I say a suggestion?" "What is it. If it's another one of Minor Domo's ideas for a cute and fury channel then you're going to the scrap heap." "It was a good idea at the time," replied Minor Domo. "Anyway as I was saying Longshot, Spider-Man and Giant-Girl don't know that they're being filmed by you right now. So maybe if you kept filming them you could find out whatever plan they have to overthrow you." "Can I shrink her a little?" replied Mojo. "I'd advise against that. If you did then they know that you're watching them. I would say to put a camera in Giant-Girl's hair. The zoom ins powerful enough to get a close image of them." "Wait I have a better idea. I'll watch them to find out their plan. I keep a camera in Giant-Girl's hair so that they don't get suspicious. They'll never notice the camera in that lot. When they do try to attack me then Bam I'll be ready for them. Aren't I a genius Major Domo?" "As always." He knew that that was his plan. But he knew not to argue with Mojo or else he would be killed. "Send a camera to her." "As you wish sir." A few minutes later we see a small camera flying towards Giant-Girl. it had to go really fast to get to the 11 mile high superheroine. She didn't notice it clip onto a strand of long thick red hair. Giant-Girl was totally oblivious to the camera and she just continued to walk on. She was put her feet down lightly so not to make much quakes. She didn't want to harm anything around her. "How much further it?" whispered Giant-Girl. "Not too far," replied Longshot. "About 20 miles but a few short steps for a big girl like you." "Thank you very much for the compliment." "Is that what Spider-Man calls sarcasm?" "What do you think?" This confused Longshot and Spider-Man had to step in before anything happened to Longshot. "Hey GG don't confuse the poor guy," said Spider-Man. "I'm only having a little fun," replied Giant-Girl. "But there's nothing more confusing then explaining sarcasm." "Ok. But remember when we get to Earth we still need to get pizza." "Pepperoni?" "Only the best." A few minutes later in the camp the rebels were waiting for their leaders return. But instead they began to feel earthquakes in the ground. They came in a few second intervals and then they would seem to get closer. "It's an Earthquake!" shouted a Rebel. "Everyone get to safety." "No they're footsteps," replied another Rebel. "Are you insane? Nothing is big enough to create footsteps like that." They looked over the horizon and saw Giant-Girl get closer. They couldn't see her head and they could just see below her chest. "But maybe I was wrong." "That thing will destroy us all." But they were amazed to see her stand roughly a mile away from the camp. They thought that she was going to strike. They also thought that she was going to stomp on them. But then Longshot and Spider-Man came down from the ship. They were amazed to see them. "Ladies and Gentlemen I give you our new comrade in our struggle against Mojo," said Longshot. "There's not many people with a big heart then my friend here," replied Spider-Man. "Come to think about it no one has a bigger anything then her." "Remember you've still got that communicator in my ear," whispered Giant Girl. "I can still hear you." "Don't stomp on me yet." "I'll think about it." "As you can see Giant-Girl will be a huge asset to our campaign," said Longshot. "Unfortunately Mojo is in control of her suit so she can't make herself any smaller for now." "She doesn't have to be any bigger," replied a Rebel. "She could crush Mojo's HQ with one stomp of her foot." "We want to minimalise bloodshed as much as possible. Thankfully most of Mojo's lackeys are robots." "Then what's your plan?" "We strike tonight quake and decisively. He isn't going to know what hit him. We'll start at south ridge. His defenses are low because of the mountain range. Normally this would be an inaccessible path. But with Giant-Girl's help we'll be able to get in there easily. Now my friend Spider-Man here will be the first inside and take out some of the guards. Everyone have their jetpacks just in case." All this was being sent to Mojo himself. He was seeing and hearing everything that was happening in the camp. He was rubbing his hands in glee. "So they're going to attack us," said Mojo. "What are you planning on doing?" replied minor Domo. "What if they get in and destroy everything." She was getting a little over excited. "I mean what if they destroy everything we've worked so hard to make?" "Don't worry. I have everything under control." "What are you going to do?" "Double the guards. No triple them and Minor Domo. Get me the device that controls the female's size." "Yes sir." A little later we see Giant girl with every rebel in her one hand. There was plenty of room on there and she made sure that they were safe. "Ok Giant-Girl I'll direct you to Mojo's Headquarters," said Longshot. "Ok Longshot," replied Giant-Girl. Longshot gave Giant-Girl the directions to Mojo's HQ. They all thought that they were going to catch him army by surprise. They had no idea that he knew that they were coming and he had already prepared himself. He was looking at the screen and he could see the mega sized Giant-Girl coming towards his HQ. He could already feel the shaking in the ground. "When do you plan on shrinking the large female humanoid?" asked Major Domo. "When the time is right," replied Mojo. "But for now I need some acid." "As you wish." Major Domo then went away and got a large glass of acid. Mojo then took it and drank the contents. "That really hits the spot," said Mojo. "By the way what's this attack going to do to our ratings?" "If we win we'll keep them. If we lose then we're out of business." "Make sure I get plenty of cameras out here. I want the entire battle filmed and I'll make millions out of ratings alone." "I'd hate to interrupt your vanity but the rebels are in striking distance." "Ok." He then got the device that controlled Giant-Girl's suit and he turned the dial down. Not too far away Giant-Girl began to feel weird and she stopped. The rebels and Spider-Man were confused. "Hey GG why have you stopped?" asked Spider-Man. "I feel that feeling I get when I'm about to change size," replied Giant-Girl. "Get off of me quick." No sooner had she said this Giant-Girl began to shrink rapidly. Some of the rebels fell off her but their jetpacks were able to help them stay airborne. Spider-Man was extremely worried about his friend and he watched as she dwindled away. But he was falling himself. Thankfully he was caught by Longshot. "Don't worry I have you friend," said Longshot. "But what about Giant-Girl?" replied Spider-Man. "There must be something we can do to help her?" "There isn't Mojo has the controls and the only way to save her is if we get the control back and destroy it. Then Giant-Girl will have control over her suit again." As Spider-Man and Longshot slowly landed on the ground they saw Giant-Girl continue to shrink. She was a fraction of an inch tall but she was still shrinking rapidly. In a matter of seconds she disappeared from sight. "No!" shouted Spider-Man. "There is no time to waste," replied the Longshot. "The longer she stays at that size the more danger she'll be in." "You're right. Mojo has taken everything I hold dear to me. Now I' coming to take it back." "Good use that rage to fuel you." Longshot then grabbed Spider-Man and they flew up into the air using the jetpack. Spider-Man thought he wouldn't need one since he had his powers. But he was wrong he needed one badly. But no sooner had they reached Mojo's HQ they were fired upon by the defense weapons. But they all seemed to be missing Spider-Man and Longshot. Longshot's eye was glowing. "That's lucky," said Spider-Man. "That's more then lucky." The pair were able to land on the other side of the defences. But the other rebels were pinned down out side. They couldn't even get close to them. This meant that Spider-Man and Longshot were on their own. "Ok how do we get in?" asked Spider-Man. Longshot then looked around. His eye glowed again and he saw a window. "Through there." "Wow you really are lucky." The pair then climbed through the window and they were inside. But there didn't seem to be anyone around. But they were still cautious. "It's quiet," said Spider-Man. "Too quiet," replied Longshot. "We need to find Mojo now. Who knows what he's got up his sleeve." Meanwhile in his control room Mojo was watching what was happening outside. But he had also seen Spider-man and Longshot get inside. He laughed a little to himself. "This is going great," said Mojo. "Without Giant-Girl the rebels don't have a chance of success." "What do we do with the rebels?" replied Major Domo. "They seem to be destroying the defences." "Send in the boys. They deserves some fun." Spiral then noticed Spider-Man and Longshot on the screen. She gave Mojo and evil smile. "You seem to have a rodent problem shall I terminate?" asked Spiral. "Not quite. I want you to bring me those two trouble makers alive. Make sure you have all this on camera. The ratings are going through the roof." "What's my reward?" "You get half the merchandise and you'll even have yourself as a doll. The kids will love them." "Alright." Then Spiral ran away towards where Spider-Man and Longshot were. They were oblivious to the approaching danger. "So how long have you fought Mojo for?" asked Spider-Man. "Years," relied Longshot. "And I regret everyday what happened to my loved one Rita. Mojo was cruel enough to turn her into that abomination called Spiral." Just then Spider-Man's spider sense went off and he looked around. "My Spider sense is tingling." "What does that mean?" "Danger." But before he could do anything he saw Spiral coming towards him. He tried to hit her with his webbing but she ducked out of the way. Any that did hit her she simple cut it off with her sword. "This is going to be fun," she said to herself. Longshot then threw some of his knives at her but she was able to use her swords to deflect them away. But then she used her gas grenades to knock the pair out. She laughed over them. "Mojo mission accomplished," said Spiral. She was talking through an ear piece. She still had her evil smile. "Good bring them to me," replied Mojo. "As you command." She then picked them up and walked away. When the pair woke up they were chained onto a wall and they saw Mojo in front of them. He was just eating some kind of slimy creature. Major Domo tapped him to get his attention. "The prisoners are awake," said Major Domo. "Good," replied Mojo. In a minute they were both full awake. They tried to escape but their restraints were too strong even for Spider-Man's strength. "Great you're awake," said Mojo. "Mojo," replied Longshot. "An honour that you still remember me. But now your puny rebellion is about to be crushed. I give you Longshot the pleasure of doing this. But I'm not leaving this so called Amazing Spider-Man. For failing in your task you can watch both May parker and Doctor Hank Pym suffer a painful death. "No you can't," replied Spider-Man. "Too bad I can. Maybe your friend Giant-Girl can help you. Oh yeah she's a little on the short side." He then laughed. Nothing can save you now. But for Longshot I think he can watch his friends die without a kneecap." Spiral then got a gun and she went to fire. But Longshot's eye began to glow and the gun jammed. She tried to fix it but when she did the bullet accidentally hit the restraints on Longshot's right arm. He quickly released himself and Spiral went to attack him. "Please Rita I don't want to fight you," said Longshot. "That's funny because I want to fight you," replied Spiral. "She then got her swords out and went to attack him. Mojo retreated to a safe distance. But he had cameras watching the fight. "This fight is going to make me money," said Mojo. During the fight one of Spiral's swords accidentally broke the restraints on Spider-man. He was able to get out. "That'll put you on my Christmas card list," said Spider-man. But he looked over to Mojo. He knew that he had to get the device that was controlling Giant-Girl's size. If he could give her control back she would be a huge asset. There was one thing Spider-man had not considered. Mojo had weapons with him and he fired them at him. He used his agility to dodge them. But it would take him a minute or two to reach him. "Die like the bug you are," said Mojo. "Sorry but an attitude like that gets you no where in life," replied Spider-Man. He continued to fire at him but Spider-Man was dodging. A Bullet scrapped his arm but he was able to suck up the pain. But he eventually got to Mojo. He took the device from out of his hand and he dodged he way from the bullets. He looked at the device. "Hmm if this what makes her smaller maybe I can make her bigger." He then turned the dial to the right and he destroyed the device. Outside Giant-Girl grew up to her normal size. She was badly beaten but she was still alive. She was able to stand up. "W-what happened?" she asked. Then she began to remember a few things. "Spidey he'll need my help." She concentrated a little and she grew up to 50 feet tall. "And now I have control." She then went towards the base. She saw the rebels having trouble with the defenses. She just grabbed the guns and ripped them out of the walls and ground. She felt powerful. "Now let's see if this suit is still upgraded," thought Giant-Girl. She then concentrated and she went up to 250 feet. This was 50 feet taller then her maximum size without Mojo's enhancements. "Looks like Mojo's little upgrade will be his big downfall." Inside Mojo's base Mojo wasn't too happy that his device had been broken. He grabbed Spider-man around the neck and lifted him up. Longshot tried to save him but Spiral was keeping him occupied. "You stupid human," said Mojo. "Look what you've done!" Spider-Man could barely talk because Mojo was suffocating him. In a few seconds Spider-Man would die. "Put me down," replied Spider-man. "Oh I'll put you down when your life has gone away." Just then Mojo felt something hit his head. He looked up and saw that it was a piece of rock from the ceiling. He looked up and saw the ceiling around the room begin to crack. Then the roof actually came off and he saw Giant-Girl staring down at him. She wasn't too happy with him. "Put him down NOW!" shouted Giant-Girl. "Yes ma'am," replied Mojo in a quiet voice. He then put Spider-Man down and Giant-Girl picked him up. He began to fire at her but she was so big that the bullets didn't even hurt her. "Oh you've got a little weapon." She then grabbed the gun and ripped it out of Mojo's walker. "Let's just get rid of this." "No you can't do this to me." "Well I could drop you. But not at this height. You'd probably survive. But I can make myself bigger. What's that saying now? The Skies the limit. Well I can go past that thanks to your enhancements." "Please I'll do anything," replied Mojo. "Anything?" replied Giant-Girl. "Yes anything." "Well there was something I was thinking of." "Yes you name it." "Leave this place? Let everyone live here in peace." "You can't make me do that." Just then Giant-Girl began to grow a little more. "Ok ok I agree." "Good." Just then he saw Spiral appear on her hand and she grabbed Mojo. She then danced again and they both disappeared. "Hey where did you go?" With Mojo gone Giant-Girl shrank down to her normal size and she went to Spider-man and Longshot. She gave them both a hug. "Wow Giant-Girl you're normal," said Spider-Man. "And you saved my life." "Well you saved mine first," replied Giant-Girl. She then began to think. "Oh my God where are Hank and May?" "Mojo has a prison quarter just below us," said Longshot. "If they're anywhere they'll be down there." "Then let's go and get them." The three of them raced down to the prison cells. Longshot opened all of the doors and Hank and May walked out. may was a little traumatized and she was staggering a little. Hank on the other hand got a big hug from Giant-Girl who had made herself 6 and a half feet tall to make the hug bigger. May got a hug from Spider-Man even though she didn't know that it was her nephew Peter. "Are you alright Ma'am?" asked Spider-man. "Please just take me home," replied Aunt May. "I want to see my Nephew." "Don't worry we'll get you home in no time." He began to think a little. He then turned to Giant-Girl. "Hey GG how do we get back home?" "I don't know Spiral brought us here," replied Giant-Girl. "Maybe I can help," said Longshot. "What is it?" "I think Mojo had some sort of teleportation device that could take you home. But I've never seen him use it." "Well its better then nothing," replied Dr Pym. "I might even be able to get it up and running." The group then went up to Mojo's TV room. They saw the device there and Longshot and Dr Pym took a better look at it. Thankfully the exact co-ordinates of where Spiral had taken the group was uploaded onto it. "It seems that if I hit return we will all go back to Earth," said Dr Pym. He was then about push the button but Spider-Man stopped him. "Wait just before we leave I just want to say goodbye to you Longshot," said Spider-Man. "You have done us a great deed," replied Longshot. "Spider-Man and Giant-Girl will forever be known as heroes amongst this place." He then shook Spider-Man's hand and he got a hug from Giant-Girl. But no sooner had this been done Dr Pym pushed the return button and they disappeared. Longshot waved goodbye to his friends. A few seconds later they reappeared in the hall where the charity party had taken place. But now there was no one there and it was sunny outside instead of night. Everyone was glad to be home. "We're home," said Giant-Girl. "I can't believe it." "This place is a lot better then that Mojo world," replied Spider-Man. "Not much better but it's still better." The group then went outside and Giant-Girl grew to about 50 feet. She then picked up Dr Pym and she looked down at Spider-man. "Ok I'm taking Hank back home," said Giant-Girl. "And I'll take back this lovely woman back to her house," replied Spider-Man. "Bye Janet." "Bye P." She then stopped herself. "I mean Spidey." Giant-Girl then walked away while Spider-Man picked up Aunt May and he began to web sling away. She gave him directions to her house. He already knew where it was but he acted like he didn't. "Thank you for rescuing me," said Aunt May. "Well it's what I do," replied Spider-Man. He then web slinged away and Aunt May went inside. But he quickly went back to the house and climbed through his window. He got out of his Spider-Man costume and he put on his normal clothes. He heard her voice. "Aunt May?" he asked. He then opened the door and saw her. He gave her a big hug and she shed a tear. "I missed you Peter," said Aunt May. "What happened to you?" replied Peter. "I was kidnapped but Spider-Man and Giant-Girl saved me." Another two week past and we see the Shocker holding up an armoured van full of money. He wanted to do this job fast before Spider-Man or Giant-Girl came along. But then he saw the van being lifted up by a Colossal hand. He looked up and saw Giant-Girl. But she seemed bigger then the last time he saw her. But before the Shocker could run away he saw that he couldn't move his legs. He looked down and saw thick webbing. He then looked in front of him and he saw Spider-Man. "Wow Shocker I thought you would have learned your lesson last time," said Spider-Man. "I'm a slow learner," replied the Shocker. "Well let's help you learn." He then webbed his entire body and the Shocker couldn't reach his belt to fully activate his powers. He was helpless as the police began to close in. But with the last bit of energy he had he broke out of the webbing. The Shockwave from this blasted a few bricks off the top of a building. At that moment J. Jonah Jameson was just walking past. Spider-Man quickly knocked him out of the way. Giant-Girl watched from a bird's eye view. She saw other bricks coming loose from buildings. She quickly used her size to stop them from falling on anyone. She gave out a sigh of relief. But the next time she looked Shocker was gone. She wasn't too happy with this and she grunted. "He got away," she said. But not too far away Spider-Man was helping J. Jonah Jameson to his feet. Jameson had slightly injured his arm. "Are you alright?" asked Spider-Man. "No you walk crawling freak," replied Jameson. "You're a menace to society and you're a bad role model." "Stop with the insults. I just saved your life." "I would have preferred to be mince meat then to be saved by a %$^& head like you." "Language there's a lady present," replied Giant-Girl. She was now watching over them and she was still at giant size. "I don't care. You're going to pay for this Spider-Man." Jameson then walked away. Spider-Man was a little down and Giant-Girl shrank down to her normal height. "With people like him I sometimes wonder if it's worth doing all this," said Spider-Man. "Don't say that," replied Giant-Girl. "You're a hero." She then giggled a little. "I know what'll cheer you up." "What?" "How about a nice milkshake. My treat?" "Yeah that sounds great." "So do you want me to carry you or do you want to carry me?" "Which ever." Giant-Girl then shrank until she was only a few inches tall. "Ok now you can carry me." The next morning Peter Parker was just on his way to work. He was just buying a little snack from a news stand. But then he saw something that really caught his eye. When he saw it he almost chocked on his candy bar. The front line said "LOCAL NEWSPAPER PUBLISHER SUES SPIDER-MAN!" Meanwhile in her mansion Janet was just waking up. She was just about to get out of bed until she heard her phone go off. She picked it up and put it towards her ear. "Hello," she said. "Hi Janet its Peter," replied Peter. "I'm sorry if I woke you up." "It's alright I was about to get up anyway." She then yawned. "What's up? You never call this early unless there's something big happening?" "Well right now I'm having a personal crisis." "Is your Aunt May alright?" "She's fine. But I'm not." "What's wrong are you injured?" "Worse I'm being sued by Jolly Jameson." "You'll lose your job?" "No he's not suing Peter Parker. He's suing Spider-Man. How can I pay him anything? He's the guy who pays me." "Look how about this we'll meet for lunch later at the usual spot. I'll talk to you about it then." "Alright. Bye Janet." "Bye Peter." Peter then put the phone down and he went to the Bugle. He went up to Jameson's office fast. He saw the Editor with a lot of bandages and casts on him. But he was still smoking a cigar. "Morning Mr. Jameson," said Peter. "Parker just the man I wanted to see," replied Jameson. "I want you to get me evidence of Spider-man being a menace in society." "But he isn't a menace sir." "Do you still want a job?" "Yes." "Then you get me those pictures. I'm sitting on a gold mine. I'm going to bleed that walk crawling freak out of every penny he has." "How?" "I'll let the American justice system do that. Plus I have Stan Montana the best damn lawyer in the city." Peter then walked out. He was annoyed at Jameson for doing this to him. But he still wanted his job. But this was part of being a super hero. Not everyone had to like him. Lunchtime soon came and Peter and Janet met in a Pizza parlor. They ordered a large pizza and they began to talk. "I can't believe this is happening to me," said Peter. "Not only does Jameson have the best lawyer in the city I can't even afford one." "Don't worry about that," replied Janet. "Let me help you out." "How?" Janet then got a piece of paper and pen and began to write something on it. She then gave it to Peter. "This is my Lawyer. He's a good man and he's one of the best around." "I'll never be able to afford him." "Don't worry I'll pay for it." "You will." "What are friends for?" "Thanks Janet." Peter then took a look at the number and the name. The lawyer was called Mathew Murdock. "Who's Matt Murdock?" asked Peter. "Imagine him as the Lawyer from heaven," replied Janet. "He's a good friend of mine and he's not a slime ball like the other lawyers. He's genuinely a nice man. You'd like him." "Just the guy I need." "You don't mind if I call him for you. See if I can get you an appointment with him for you?" "That would be nice thanks." Janet then got out her cell phone from her purse and she dialed Matt's number. It began to ring and it went through to his secretary. "Hello this is Matt Murdock's secretary speaking how can I help you?" she said. "Hello could you patch me through to Matt please?" replied Janet. "Who is it please?" "It's Janet Van Dyne." "One moment please." At his office Matt was sitting at his chair in his office. He had red hair and was wearing dark sunglasses. He was also wearing an expensive business suit and he had a white stick with him. "Matt miss Janet Van Dyne wishes to talk to you," said the Secretary through his phone. "Put her through," replied Matt. Matt then put his phone on loud speaker and the next thing he heard was Janet's voice. "Hello Miss Van Dyne or should I say Giant-Girl?" said Matt. "Hi Matt I have a new client for you?" replied Janet. "Who may that be?" "The Amazing Spider-Man." Matt just sat there for a moment. "You do know that April Fools day was a few months ago?" "No I'm serious." "What's his problem?" "Well that news Editor is suing him for every penny he has. He told me that the reporter has lots of bandages and casts on. But I was with him when He got the injuries and he didn't get that badly injured." "So you suspect that he's over exaggerating?" "I don't think I know." "Ok I'll take the case. See if he can come by my office at around 3 o'clock. If that isn't too difficult." "That should be fine. How much this time?" "I'll do it for half the normal rate and a signature from Spider-man?" "A signature?" "Well a neighbour of mine has a son who's a big fan." "Ok then I'll send him right over." A few hours later Peter dressed in his Spider-Man costume went to the address that was given to him. he crawled up to the window and into Matt's office. There wasn't any lights on. "You must be Spider-Man," said Matt. "The one and only," replied Spider-Man. "Wow its kinda dark in here." "Sorry I can't tell I live in eternal darkness." "What?" He then began to think a little. But soon he put two and two together. "You're blind?" "Yes due to an accident in my youth I no longer have my sight," said Matt. "I'm sorry Matt," replied Spider-Man. "I didn't mean to say something like that. I didn't know you were blind." "That's alright. Now onto the case. Tell me about it." "Giant-Girl and I were dealing with the Shocker. I had to save Jameson from having a huge brick hit him. But when I did save him I accidentally gave him a minor injury." "What kind of injury?" "Just a minor one to his arm." "And what medical treatment has he had for it?" "Well it's in casts and he's even in a neck brace and everything." "Was he walking fine just after you saved him?" "Yeah he could have run a marathon." "Interesting. Give me your cell phone number and I'll give you a call when I need to see you next." "Thank you Matt." Spider-Man then wrote down his cell phone number and gave it to matt. He then left through the window and he web-slinged away. But not too far away from where he was he saw a robbery happening. "Guess crooks aren't as smart as they used to be," he said. He then went to where the robbery was happening. At first the robbers didn't see him coming. "Hurry up before someone like Spider-Man or Giant-Girl shows up," said one of the Crooks. "I wouldn't mind Giant-Girl. She's pretty hot," replied the Other. "Yeah too bad she's a hero. Just think of all the banks she could rob if she just helped herself." Just then Spider-Man landed just behind them. He stood there and looked at them a little. "I'll have to tell Giant-Girl that she has some admirers." "It's Spider-Man! Shoot the hell out of him." The crooks then began to shoot Spider-Man. But he was able to dodge the bullets with a combination of his agility and Spider-Man sense. When he got the right opening Spider-Man webbed the guns and then he webbed the crooks to the wall. They couldn't move. Spider-Man then got his camera out. "Smile for the camera," said Spider-Man. He then took a picture. "I think we made a lot of progress here." He then began to web sling away. "Don't worry I'll let New York's finest know you're here." He then continued to move away. But then he heard his cell phone go off. He quickly picked it up. "Hello," he said. "Hi Peter," replied a female Voice. "MJ." "I was just wondering if you were doing anything tonight besides being you know who." "Well I just beat the bad guys so I'm free." "Great there's a play on tonight if you want to go." "Yeah sure." "Great meet me at my place in 15 minutes." Spider-man quickly rushed to an alleyway near to Mary Jane's apartment. He got changed into some normal clothes and then he went to see Mary Jane. She was waiting for him. "Peter you actually made it on time," said Mary Jane. "Well Spider-Man wasn't needed on the way," replied Peter. "But right now Spider-man is in the headlines for the wrong reasons again." "What is it this time?" "Jameson is suing me." "What did you do?" "Nothing his arm was slightly injured and he's gone and blown it out of proportion. He could get millions out of me." "But you don't have millions." "I know that." "Come on tiger maybe the play will take your mind off it." "I guess you're right." The pair then got a cab and they traveled to the theater where the play was being held. It was a new comedy play that had been given a good rating in all of the papers. When they got there they were about to go inside but a man had robbed the purse of an old woman. Peter didn't even have to get changed into his Spider-man costume. He just waited for him to come past and he tripped him over. He then grabbed the purse and gave it back to the woman. "Than you young man," said the Old woman. "Don't worry," replied Peter. "It was nothing." Peter then went back to Mary Jane and they went into the theater together. They had their tickets ready and they went inside. They went to their seats and they waited for it to start. "I can't wait to see what its like," said Mary Jane. "Let's just hope that it's better then the last play we went to," replied Peter. "Then he felt his cell phone rumble in his pocket. He got it out and saw that it was a text message. It was from Giant-Girl. "Great what's happening?" The message said that She had found evidence that there was going to be a robbery at the museum the next night. Peter responded that he would meet up with her a little later because of it. "Who was that?" asked Mary Jane. "That was Janet," replied Spider-Man. "What's wrong?" "Nothing there's going to be some trouble at the museum tomorrow. We'll have to deal with it there and then." "But for now?" "For now we'll watch the play." The pair watched the play and they had a good laugh at it. It definitely was a lot better then the last one they went to. They then left the theatre and Peter got changed into Spider-Man and he began to web sling Mary Jane back to her apartment. "Careful Peter," said Mary Jane. "Don't worry I've got you," replied Spider-Man. "I think I'm going to be sick." "That's alright but just not on the costume. I just had it dry-cleaned." Later that night Spider-Man was at a building just across the street from where the museum was. He was thinking about the court case. He didn't know how he would handle it. He felt like the weight of the world was on his shoulders. But then Giant-Girl came from almost out of nowhere. She was giant size and Spider-Man fell to the ground in shock. Giant-Girl just giggled. "Did I really scare you that much?" she asked. "Yes you did," replied Spider-man. "If I was a senior citizen I would have had a heart attack. Just think ok." He then paused for a moment. "Sorry this lawsuit got me in a pretty bad mood." "That's alright," replied Giant Girl. She then held onto the roof and she shrank herself to normal size. She then climbed up onto the roof. "Is Matt helping you out?" "Yeah but Jonah will probably still win. That's my luck for you." "Well your luck is about to change." She then heard the alarms in the museum go off and she looked towards it. "Looks like our guys are here on schedule." "Good some action might clear my mind." He then grabbed Giant-Girl and went to web-sling towards the museum. She made herself a little smaller so she wasn't that heavy. They landed by the sky light of the museum and they saw the thieves grabbing everything they could. "There's small hole in the window," said Giant-Girl. "I can shrink myself and get through it. Then I'll open it for you." "Good luck." Giant-Girl then shrank until she was small enough to get through the tiny hole. He had to hold on and she increased her size and jumped to the window latch. With all of her strength she pulled it and the window was unlocked. Spider-Man then quietly opened it and crawled inside. He also picked up Giant-Girl. "There's our not too smart thieves," whispered Giant-Girl. "May I?" replied Spider-Man. "Yes but leave some for me." Spider-Man then jumped and landed on the ground. All of the thieves saw him and they began to panic a little. "It's Spider-Man!" shouted a Thief. "Fill him with lead," replied another Thief. "Sorry but I had lead for lunch," said Spider-Man. They then began to shoot him but his reflexes kept him safe. He webbed the guns so that they became useless. But they went to punch him. "Now," said Spider-Man. He then threw Giant-Girl into the air and she began to rapidly increase her height. Within seconds she had gone from being a few inches tall to a 20 foot tall giant. She gave the thieves and evil smile. "Fe Fi Fo fum," said Giant-Girl. "Crap they're both here," replied a thief. "Get me out of here." He was then grabbed by Giant-Girl. "We'll take you out of here and directly to the police station." In all of the confusion Spider-Man began to web up all of the thieves. They couldn't move and Giant-Girl picked them all up. "A good days work might I say," said Spider-Man. "You're getting lazy," replied Giant-Girl. She then giggled a little. "Just kidding." The next morning Peter was on his way to work again. He looked at the front page of the Daily Bugle on a newsstand and in big letters is said "GIANT-GIRL STOPS MUSEUM ROBBERY." Then in small print it said "With a little help from Spider-Man. "I just can't get a break with Jonah," he thought. He continued on his way to work and he eventually reached the Bugle building. When he got up there the first thing he heard was J. Jonah Jameson shouting his head off again. But when Peter looked in his office he saw that there were a few people with expensive business suits on. "Parker you're just in time," said Jonah. "For what?" replied Peter. "To meet the team that's going to bleed that wall crawling freak of every penny he has." "But he's a good guy. He even helped stop the museum robbery last night. He's a hero." "Parker he gave a little assistance. For all we know he was trying to steal the priceless works. And his so called friend Giant-Girl is nothing then a spoilt little rich girl who's trying to get the spotlight and look like a nice person. I'm telling you the only person she thinks of is herself." "If you don't like her then why are you giving her credit in the papers?" "Because it sells papers. Now back to the topic at hand I want to introduce you to Steven Charles. The best damn lawyer in the city." "Greetings Mr. Parker," replied Steven. "My client here tells me you take pictures of Spider-Man." "Yep that's me," answered Peter. "You know him out of all people. Tell me what you know." "I only know that he's a hero who sticks his neck out for everyone and receives no credit for it." Peter then stormed out of the office. "Was it something I said?" "Don't worry Parker's always been like that," replied Jameson. "But I've gotta hand it to the kid he brings back some good pictures." A few hours later Peter was sitting in a cafe having some coffee and cake with Mary Jane. Peter was a little upset with everything that was happening. Mary Jane was trying to cheer him up. "Come on Peter I'm sure Matt Murdock is a good lawyer," said Mary Jane. "I'm sure he can win the case for you." "But he has Steven Charles," replied Peter. "I don't stand a chance. I'm going to lose money I don't even have." "Have some faith." "I wish I did. But I know Janet wouldn't recommend me a lawyer that she thought wouldn't win this case." "See your friends are helping you out." "You should have heard what Jonah said about Janet. If she had heard she would have brought down the Bugle building." "If that happened you'd be out of a job." "I know so I won't tell her." Just then Peter's cell phone began to ring. He picked it up. "Hello." "Hello Spider-Man," said a Male voice. "Who is this?" His voice had some fear and anger. "It's Matt Murdock here." "Oh Matt sorry I thought you were someone else," said Spider-Man. "That's alright," replied Matt. "I have some news for you." "What is it?" "I have found out the date of your court appearance." "Great when?" "In three weeks today. I'm sure I can come up with enough evidence to clear you of all charges." "How certain are you?" "About ninety percent." "That's good enough for me." "One more thing. I'd like you to come around on Friday and Midday to review the case with you." "Yeah that's fine." "Goodbye." "Bye." He then put the phone down and he turned his attentions back to Mary Jane and she was curious. "I take it was your Lawyer," said Mary Jane. "Yep," replied Peter. "He's told me when my court date is." "When is it?" "Three weeks today." "So that's a day you'll either remember for a good or bad reason." "I know but there's something that's really bothering me." "What is it?" "What if they make me remove my mask? Then everyone will know that I'm Spider-Man." "It worked for Giant-Girl when Wolverine ripped off her mask." (Back in Marvel Adventures the Avengers #13) "That's different she was already world famous and she had the money to protect her family and friends. But me I can't afford anything on what the Bugle gives me." He then sighed. "Don't worry Matt will come up with something." "I hope he does." Later on after work Peter and Giant-Girl were in their HQ. Giant-Girl was on the X-Box. But Spider-man just sat there pretty glum. She eventually put the game on pause and she patted him on the shoulder. "What's wrong Peter?" asked Giant-Girl. "I'm just worried about this court day," replied Spider-Man. "I'd feel a little better if you came along." "Sure when is it?" "Three weeks today." Giant-Girl began to think for a minute and she looked a little glum. "Sorry I can't go." "Why not?" "It's Kitty's Bar Mitzvah." "Is it then?" "Yes I can't really let her down. Look if it wasn't for that I would have come to the court. Heck I would have been in the first row. "I know. But for once I'm afraid." "Don't worry I'm sure everything will work out." “But what if they don’t?” asked Spider-Man. “I don’t have the money to pay Jameson. It’ll ruin me.” “I could help you,” replied Giant-Girl. “I can’t accept your money like that. You’ve already done enough for me and if you paid me off it would bring your father’s company credit down. All I can do is hope that Matt comes through for me.” “He will do. I’ve known him for years. He’s never failed me. I guarantee you he won’t fail you either.” “I hope he doesn’t.” “Now I know what’ll turn that frown of yours upside down. Why don’t we do a little training? That’ll help you take your mind off it.” “Ok.” Giant-Girl then switched off the game and she stood up. Spider-Man slowly followed and they walked towards the training area. Giant-Girl set up a generally easy sequence. She then grew to about 20 feet in height. “Get ready,” said Giant-Girl. “For what?” “I’m not sure. Wolvie and Storm sent it me not too long ago.” Just then the training area turned into what seemed to be a ruined city. They then saw what seemed to be a giant insect like creature. It had a long crest on its head and it had about six legs, sharp teeth and a long tail. It wasn’t alone and there were more of them coming from everywhere. “What are these?” asked Giant-Girl. “I heard Storm talk about them,” replied Spider-Man. “I think she called them the Brood. Some kind of alien life form.” “They don’t look too friendly.” “I suggest we kick butt now and have food later.” “Burgers?” “Why not?” The pair then went into action as they began to fight against the Brood. They were careful because of what Storm had told them. They were extremely dangerous and would implant you with an egg given the chance. But for them to do that they’d have to take them to the Brood Queen. But she wasn’t on this part of the simulation. “What did the foot say to the bug?” asked Giant-Girl. She then stomped on one of the Brood. “Splat.” “Hey careful there’s a bug man here,” replied Spider-Man. “Oh sorry.” But as the pair continued to fight the Brood they saw that they were disappearing. Everything around them was disappearing and Giant-Girl gave out a sigh. “Must be a black out,” said Giant-Girl. “Wanna investigate?” replied Spider-Man. “Sure gives us something to do.” Giant-Girl then shrank down to a few inches and Spider-Man picked her up. He then went towards the window. He then shot out some of his webbing and he swung from one building to another. “Hey slow down,” said Giant-Girl. “Sorry timesawasitng,” replied Spider-Man. They eventually got to the power plant that gave New York its power. Spider-Man suddenly felt his spider sense going off. He stopped web slinging and he gently landed on the ground. “What’s wrong Spidey?” asked Giant-Girl. “My Spider Sense is going mad,” replied Spider-Man. “There’s something bad here. My Spider sense has never failed me.” “I think I’ll get a bird’s eye view.” She then jumped off his shoulder and she rapidly grew at the same time. When she landed on the ground she was about 30 feet tall. She looked around. “See anything?” “No not yet.” She then saw something out of the corner of her eye. “Wait there was something just over there.” “What is it?” “I don’t know.” But then something fired at Giant-Girl with some sort of rocket launcher. It hit her with great force and she was quickly down. Spider-Man instantly went to his fallen friend and checked on her. “Giant-Girl?” he asked. He could see that she was still breathing but she was unconscious. “Great I’m on my own.” But then Spider-Man saw someone else land not too far from him. He was in a reddish black costume. It was complete with a mask that had two small horns and a cover over the eyes. He had two Ds on his chest. “Are you lost your way to the local costume convention?” asked Spider-Man. “The name’s Daredevil,” replied the Man. “Really I would never have guessed.” “Get down.” “What?” Just then his Spider sense went off and he saw another rocket coming towards him. He quickly ducked down and the missile just about missed him. He panted a little as he looked towards where the rocket came from. “But how did you know?” “Trade secret. The man with the launcher is unfit and currently panicking. Take your friend to a hospital. She might still be alive but if she doesn’t receive medical attention she might pass away.” “I can’t. I may have spider strength but even I can’t lift her when she’s that size. Only someone like the Hulk could do that.” “Then make her smaller.” “But how?” “Figure it out yourself.” Daredevil then ran towards where the Rocket Launcher was. Spider-Man turned his attentions to Giant-Girl. She was still out cold and he began to look at her costume to see if there was anything he could use to shrink her. “Come on if I know Dr. Pym he would have some sort of revert switch if anything like this happened,” said Spider-Man. He continued to look and he eventually saw a button on her belt. “Bingo.” Spider-Man then hurried to her and pressed the button. This made Giant-Girl shrink down to her normal size. “Great that’s one problem sorted,” said Spider-Man. He then looked to his left and saw that Daredevil seemed to be handling the attackers quite well by himself. He was moving a lot like Spider-Man. “Ok he should be fine.” He then looked back at Giant-Girl. “But I need to take you to a hospital.” Spider-Man then picked up Giant-Girl and he began to web sling away. He could see that there were riots happening due to the blackout. People were stealing things from the store windows. “Another day in the City so nice they named it twice.” He then felt her breath and heart rate. “You’ll be fine for a minute.” Spider-Man then put Giant-Girl on the roof of a building and he web slinged down to where the riot was taking place. He seemed to be in the middle of a huge crowd of people. He was clearly outnumbered. “I was just taking my friend to the hospital when I noticed that this crowd was here. You know I’ve been wanting one of those plasma TVs for years. But on my wages I can never afford it.” “It’s Spidey,” replied a Random person. “Let’s get out of here!” The crowd then went away. Spider-Man was amazed with how quickly they had just gone. He was proud of himself. “That was a lot easier then I expected,” he said. Then he went back to the roof of the building and he picked Giant-Girl back up. No sooner had he done this he could see all the lights going back on. But he soon began his journey to the hospital. On the way he could see New York’s finest bringing everything back to order and thankfully the hospital wasn’t too far from where he was. He felt it a little strange going through the front door. He saw some doctors already going through a few patients. But one saw him. “Spider-Man?” he asked. “Giant-Girl needs medical attention,” replied Spider-Man. “I’ll make sure she gets help.” A few hours later Giant-Girl woke up. She could see a blinding light. Then she saw a doctor looking at her. He seemed to be writing something down on a clipboard. He was happy to see her. “Miss Van Dyne you’re awake,” he said. “W-where am I?” replied Giant-Girl. “You’re in New York General Hospital.” “But how did I get here?” “Your friend Spider-Man brought you here. But he up and left when he brought you in.” he then cleared his throat. “You’ve suffered trauma to your ribs.” “Will I be fine?” “We’ll monitor you for a day or two. But you should be fine.” “That’s great.” But then she noticed that she wasn’t wearing her costume. Instead she was wearing hospital clothes. “What happened to my costume?” “A man named Harold Cox came over and took it back to your mansion,” said the Doctor. “Good old Harold.” “One last thing before I go you have a visitor.” “A visitor?” asked Janet. “Yes I’ll let him in,” replied the Doctor. As the Doctor left Peter came in. he had a huge bunch of flowers. He was greeted with a smile by Janet. “Oh they’re beautiful Peter.” “They’re from Hank,” replied Peter. “He would have brought them but he’s busy in his lab right now.” “A science geek through and through.” She then giggled a little. “So how are you?” “I’m fine. I can come out hopefully tomorrow.” “That’s good.” “Did you find out who it was behind the blackout?” “No but someone called Daredevil took care of it. He also helped me return you to normal size.” “Remind me to send him a thank you card when I see him again.” “I’ll keep that in mind.” An hour later Peter got changed into his Spider-Man costume and he went to the office of Matt Murdock. They were going trough what was going to happen at the trial. Spider-Man found it confusing. “This hurts my head,” said Spider-Man. “I’m sorry but this is routine,” replied Matt. “In the court room they’ll make you take your mask off. But I can persuade them otherwise. But if the courts go in favour of Mr. Jameson then I’m afraid there’s not much I’ll be able to do. If you somehow had evidence that he wasn’t injured by you then that would be important.” “Well I have Giant-Girl.” “Will she be able to make it to the trial?” “No she’s got to go to a Bar Mitzvah. I’m afraid its one that she can’t pull out of. Not without breaking her biggest fan’s heart.” “Hmm but maybe there’s something else. Tell me at approximately what time did this whole even happen?” “I don’t know I left my Spidey watch under my bed.” “Be serious please.” “Ok I guess it was about twelve fifteen.” “And where did it take place?” “On 28th street.” “I might be able to get some evidence that’ll help. But it’ll be a long shot but there might be some surveillance footage of your battle with Shocker. If it shows what happened to Mr. Jameson then it could either be your salvation or it could prove your guilt. It can go both ways.” “Hopefully my salvation.” “I should have the tape for you tomorrow.” “Great.” A few minutes later Spider-Man web slinged away but matt stayed in his office. He went to a closet in his office and he pulled up a secret part of the floor below it. There was a Daredevil costume. “Matt Murdock might not be able to get the tape but Daredevil can,” said Matt. Matt soon got into his Daredevil costume and he left his office. He began to go to where the so called injury happened. Spider-Man was on one of the buildings and he saw Daredevil swinging away. He looked at him a little and then he decided to follow him. That was when Daredevil noticed him. “You’re back,” he said. “Yeah I wanted to thank you for helping me last night,” replied Spider-Man. “Plus I think we’d make a pretty good team.” “I’m a solo man.” “I was until I joined the Avengers.” “Hmm I got an invitation but I didn’t join. I don’t go for all that super hero team. I work faster if I’m by myself.” “What are you doing anyway?” “Strange enough helping you out. Matt Murdock is a good friend of mine and he told me to get him a tape that could prove your innocence.” “That’s nice of you.” “Well anything to help a friend. By the way how is your friend?” “Giant-Girl. Oh she’s recovering in hospital. Nothing major she’ll be out tomorrow. Couldn’t have gotten her back without your help.” “My pleasure.” They eventually reached where the accident took place. Spider-man and Daredevil were on top of a building and they looked at where it had happened. Spider-Man pointed to it and Daredevil tried to look at it. But he was using his radar vision to fully see where he was pointing to. “Right there that’s where it happened,” said Spider-Man. “Are there any cameras?” replied Daredevil. “Let me look.” Spider-Man then looked around a little and he eventually saw a camera pointing towards the spot. “Yep there’s one.” “Good now to get the tape from it.” “Wait it could be anywhere. That camera feed could be miles away. Heck it could be on the moon.” “I doubt it’s that far.” “It’s only a joke.” “If it was a joke I would be laughing.” “Wow you have no sense of humour.” “When you’re in my line of work you don’t joke around.” “Hey I am in your line of work.” “I mean my professional work.” “And that would be?” “A secret.” “Oh I didn’t see that one coming.” Just then Spider-Man spider sense went off. He looked and saw a bomb coming towards them. Daredevil also sensed it coming and they were both able to dodge out of the way. Spider-man looked up and saw the Hobgoblin. “Lousy timing as always,” said Spider-Man. “I finally found you without Giant-Girl,” replied the Hobgoblin. “This is going to be way too easy.” “Haven’t you learned from the last dozen times I’ve kicked you butt?” “What can I say I’m a slow learner.” The Hobgoblin then began to throw more grenades at Spider-Man and Daredevil. But they were able to dodge them. But there seemed to be gas coming out of them. Daredevil smelled it instantly. “Knock out gas!” he said. “Cover your mouth.” Spider-Man then quickly covered his mouth. But he could already feel his body becoming heavier. He soon fell to the ground and it affected Daredevil as well. He too succumbed to the gas. When Spider-Man woke up he found himself chained to a wall. Daredevil was also there and he was also chained to the wall. He could see The Hobgoblin getting closer to him and he was laughing. “Now that was too easy,” said the Hobgoblin. “Ok you got us,” replied Spider-Man. “Any chance of just letting us go and we’ll forget this whole thing ever happened.” “I could but this is a lot more fun,” said the Hobgoblin. “Now I can find out who you guys really are.” “Couldn’t you have done that while we were asleep?” “I could have but I prefer to do it when you’re awake. There’s more pleasure from hearing you squirm when I find your true identity. I think I’m going to go with my greatest rival first.” “You don’t want to do that. My face would disgust you.” “Your tactics would help you this time.” As the Hobgoblin got closer to Spider-Man he needed to sue his brains. He could still move his wrists. He used his web shooter to blast webbing into Hobgoblin’s eyes. He tried to take it off. “Damn it!” shouted the Hobgoblin. “Never put a Spider-Man down for a second,” replied Spider-man. “I think I can get myself out of these,” added Daredevil. He then began to wriggle his left wrist. He could hear a slight crack in the chain. He began to tap it a few times and then it began to break. “Cheap chains.” “I didn’t know you had super strength.” “I don’t the chain is just weak.” “Damn EBay,” replied the Hobgoblin. The Hobgoblin then ripped the webbing from his eyes and he was soon greeted with Daredevil’s fist. This knocked him out instantly. “That’s one way to deal with him,” said Spider-Man. “He was nothing,” replied Daredevil. “Now if you don’t mind I don’t like being a wall decoration.” “Right.” Daredevil then used his stick to hit the chain’s weak points and it soon came crumbling. Spider-Man was amazed. “Wish I could do that,” said Spider-Man. “You can wish for a lot of things in life,” replied Daredevil. “Some you get some you earn in life.” “Right I’ll have to write that down.” What do the duo do now? Find out next week. Continued in Adventures of Spider-Man and Giant-Girl 2. http://www.writing.com/main/view_item/item_id/1452925
