lost
a poem about losing yourself in the busy world.

Always grinning,
Always glad.
Inside she's lost,
lonely and sad.

The world moves fast,
and she feels slow.
She's standing still
in a riptide flow.

She feels alone
in a giant crowd.
screaming her fear
without a sound.

She's being consumed
and she can't get out.
She's lost in the world,
in her own fear and doubt.
