Summer heats up with passion’s perception,
With a furtive glance and a purloined kiss,
Mounting into a lover’s deception,
Leaves a lonely and lovely jaded miss.

Autumn’s seasonal dirge presents closure,
Resplendent colors offer a Joseph’s cloak,
Covers up man’s indecent exposure,
Of promises made and promises broke.

Winter comes a time for change in all things,
Renewal is found in silence of snow,
To accept what is and all that it brings,
To learn from the past and watch thyself grow.

When Spring summons forth an unwanted birth,
Parenthood presents the challenge of worth.
