Faded Love

While landscapes changed with seasons, so did I.
The Earth's been slowly turning in my head.
Behind red eyes, the voiceless storms must fly
To form these fitful words that I now shed.

My Love, just look into my crying eyes
And see these clouds that suffocate my light,
As thunder cries in broken summer skies
With pleas to let my dying heart take flight.

Please grant me freedom from this faded love
That's cold and silent as the falling snow.
I've wasted half a lifetime dreaming of
The perfect love, while precious youth let go.

For years I'd sought this time to be set free
To find 'twas Time that had been seeking me.
