In a Moment

Its amazing that in a blink of an eye
In a single beat of the heart
My entire existence, my being
Lit and flames and fell apart
My once sun kissed world
And my crystal clear view
Was lit on fire and brought down
And in that moment I found you
Not in the distance
Nor miles away
Not a moment to soon
Or a moment to late
The stars crumbled
The clouds bled to death
And in my moment of weakness
You laid my head to rest
I nearly let go
And was lost on my way
Then you waltzed right up
And kissed the tears away
I’ve never known a man
who could give himself to me
And it was in that moment
I learned that we were meant to be
All the things I’ve said
And fights up to here
Have given us this strength
The strength we hold dear
The whole world hates this
Hates to see you by my side
But its at this moment
That I’ve learned not to hide
Not to hide the love that makes me weak
Not the love that knocks off my feet
Not the love that has saved  our cries
Not the love that refuses to die
No angel I know now that this love
The one I hold in my hands
Is too purely powerful
Even for us to understand…
