First Time
Written during my first serious relationship, the title can be a little misleading.

First Time

As I lay here tonight
I think of you, as I always do
knowing you're thinking of me too

Turning to my side I remember
the warm smile you wear
whenever our eyes meet
It's a good feeling I get when you smile

Closing my eyes I can feel
your hand in mine, a perfect fit
Your strong arms around me
like I was made to be there

Sighing aloud I recall
the sweet taste when you kissed me
that first time
The soft texture of your neck,
your cheek, your chest too

Getting out of bed, I take a walk
reliving our walks, our instep strides
and our in-sync breathing as we slept
together, side-by-side

Returning to bed I'm disappointed
that I can't be with you everyday

But I'm more then grateful
for all the memories you've given me
Of all our first times
