The co-worker
This is about the coworker that constantly calls in sick.

She claims to be the best one there,
Doing so much, it isn't fair.
She likes to lead and make a fuss,
Make us sound weak, and her so tough.

She needs to take a day or two,
To clear her mind and think things through.
A three-day weekend? Make it four.
There's just so much she can ignore.

She is feverish all the time.
And calls in sick to be so kind.
It seems alright, fine and okay.
But then she's sick the very next day?

She's not the one who holds the key,
But still the one who need not heed.
Her presence there is for our good,
And love her much is what we should.

Her brother went home sick from school
But him home alone breaks the rule.
"I can't come in today, you see,
My eyes are oozing and may bleed."

She swears she's sick, but we don't know,
Her symptoms often come and go.
Her sickness now, we cannot see.
But still she needs us to believe.

Her thoughts are always the same each time.
"How can I be on their minds?"
"This is a great opportunity."
Just give her love and sympathy.

But who's to say that's what we'll do
Since there is always something new.
We laugh and mock, and be so cruel.
To keep us sane and fight this duel.

But all though this, the boss is kind.
He lets her keep her peace of mind.
She knows her way around the store.
So well in fact, we can't ignore.
