Father’s Day My beautiful daughter is having a Father's Day cookout. I get to do nothing. … because I'm the Father. We'll drink some beer and shoot some pool. and I get to win. … because I'm the Father. Yesterday my wonderful son took me to see Batman Begins I didn't have to pay. ... because I'm the Father. We had a beer, then two, and then some Rum Runners. He bought those, too. … because I’m the Father. The drinks came with plastic decorations; his a giraffe, mine a frog. I kept the animals. ... because I'm the Father. I saved the plastic animals and the movie ticket stubs And I saved them away. ... because I'm the Father. So when I am gone, and they decide what to keep. They’ll find these things. ... because I'm the Father. They'll remember what wonderful times we had. They'll laugh, they'll cry, and they'll remember how much I loved them. ... because I'm their Father.
