Separation
We live in the same town Separated by a river This detachment brings me down Haunting me wherever We face the same weather We travel over the same roads Our hearts still beat together Yet I carry these loads It has been much too long No way is found to make it right This separation feels wrong It keeps me up at night I choose not to reach out I reside in my own anger I carry way too much doubt I am blind to danger Our souls remain apart I claim to be situated Denying life from the heart Staying disconnected
