God Is Working

Someone you love is sick,
truly breaking your heart.
The blow was hard and quick,
no time to break apart.

Everything feels so wrong,
life has paused for a while.
You strive to remain strong,
keeping your weary smile.

Meanwhile, God is working,
holding your loved one close.
Controlling suffering,
pouring love with each dose.

Just take God by the hand,
the road ahead is long.
Treading through sinking sand,
God will heal with each song.

God has not forgotten,
He knows your every need.
Do not feel forsaken.
Pray, and God will succeed.
