My Toddler Days

Others brag of memories,
From early childhood days.
Recounting pleasant stories,
Filled with gleeful child ways.

Enviously, listening,
Wondering to myself,
Where had all mine been missing?
Memories on a shelf?

Going through my mind now.
Searching some painful event.
Knowing blockages allow,
Failure admitting torment.

Freeing this up I'm banking,
My story was ner' told.
Reason was my first spanking,
Happened at three years old!

An open window sill.
Couldn't get a truck to go,
Let out a fuming shrill!


Awaking Dad with high pitch,
I yelled, "Son-of-a-bitch"!
